Objective:

• Student will know two historical facts about Obon

Materials:

• If desired, you can pre-print out copies of the first two worksheets. Of course, this applies only for in-person classes

Preparation:

• Good internet access. The experience will be better with broadband.

• Printer access

Method:

1. Review what the students know about Obon

2. If needed, provide a refresher of the Mogallana story.

3. Have students go to https://sites.google.com/view/obonhunt/home

4. Help students as they need it: Answer Sheet

Evaluation:

• Afterwards ask what they found the most interesting.

Note:

This activity is a great review. Also this does actually does not require "class" work as it can be done on the students own time.

This style of worksheets that form a web address out of the answers can be used to many type of worksheets type activity. Of course, it is self-checking which eliminates that work on the teacher's part.

The students who finish early can explore the locations more on their own.

This can also be a "homework" type activity as it can be assigned then done by the students offline.
