3rd - 5th
Try the jar exercise with students writing what they received
Then the teacher shares that the teacher received
Students give the exercise another try and write to see if students have more thoughts
"Giving Tree" and "I Love You Forever" by Robert Munch
"Yoko" by Rosemary Wells
If its Mother's Day, start with literature about mothers
So with the jar activity can do any or all or some combination of questions
And maybe ask those question on regular basis and put in jar to reflect at later time
Have students answer in complete sentences or write questions and date
