- 1st
- Preparation
  - Read stories before
  - Have sets of colored blocks or discs
- Method
  - Run through the 3 Naikan questions one at a time.
  - Place the red discs in the center of the table each time a student has/offers an example for the first question
  - Ditto for the 2nd and 3rd questions. Each with different colored disc
    - Offer example stories as students think about each question
  - After the 3rd question, the piles of each colored disc will be of different sizes
  - This demonstrates how so much has been given in order for our lives to happen
