Aims

To develop in-depth background knowledge and understanding of the practical and theoretical aspects of physical education
To extend the range of practical experiences and personal challenge
To provide opportunities for personal and social development by interacting with others in challenging activities

All assessments are internal, written and practical in nature

Full course completion — 20 Achievement Standards NCEA Level 2 selected from the 6 standards available

Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Health, Food and Nutrition, Outdoor Education

To have a genuine interest in both the academic and practical dimensions of physical activity and physical education
