Qualifications -  NCEA Level 2 - 3

At St Hilda's we offer two levels of NCEA certificate (2 and 3). At each level, learners must achieve a certain number of credits to gain the NCEA certificate. Credits for a level certificate can be gained over more than one year. See the NZQA website for full details.

Learners are required to achieve Numeracy and Literacy co-requisites as part of gaining their NCEA qualification, including University Entrance (UE) at Level 3. 

All the subjects offered in 2024 at this school will have an internally assessed component. 

External assessment for achievement standards will be by way of a national examination in November, or by way of external achievement standards that are moderated nationally. For example, Visual Arts at all three levels, Photography and Design Visual Communication at Levels 2 and 3 are assessed externally on the work undertaken during the year.
