NCEA Level 3 Statistics and Modelling
Aim
This course is intended for learners who have gained 14 or more credits in either Level 2 Mathematics course. The course develops students ability to work with statistics and probability. These skills apply across a wide range of degrees and in the navigation of daily life.
Course content
Determining the trend for time series data
Solving straight-forward problems involving probability
Completing a statistical investigation involving bivariate data
Using probability distribution models to solve straight-forward problems
Making inferences based on sample statistics
Evaluating statistical reports
Assessment
There are a variety of assessment tasks and school examinations. Externally assessed topics are examined nationally at the end of the year.

Full course completion - 24 credits in NCEA Level 3 Statistics
