YEAR 11 Mathematics
Aim
This course is intended for learners who have maintained a satisfactory level of achievement in Year 10 Mathematics. Learners taking this course should be confident of achieving the 10 required credits for Numeracy from the listed standards. This course leads into all three Level 2 Mathematics Courses. The details of this course are subject to change as the roll out of the NCEA Numeracy Co-requisite is finalised.
Course content
Solving problems involving number skills in context
Solving measurement problems in context
Exploring relationships between tables, equations and graphs
Applying algebraic procedures
Solving problems involving probability methods
Statistical analysis of bivariate, multivariate, and time series data
Assessment
In class assessments, school examinations.
This course may include 1 NCEA standard, either an internal or an external. To be confirmed at the beginning of the 2024 school year.
