ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ತೋಟಗಾರಿಕೆ ಇಲಾಖೆ ದಿನಾಂಕ 15-10-2023ರಿಂದ 24-10-2023ರವರೆಗೆ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ 2023ನೇ ದಸರಾ ಫಲ, ಪುಷ್ಪ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಅಲಂಕಾರಿಕಾ ತೋಟಗರಿಕಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಹುಮಾನ ಸಂದಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಬಹುಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಪ್ರಾಚಾರ್ಯ ಪ್ರೊ. ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ಗಾರ್ಡನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕ ಶ್ರೀ ವೆಂಕಪ್ಪ ಇವರು ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು

30/10/2023-The Inaugural Function of 120 Hours Certificate Course on Cloud was inaugurated by Prof.Sainath Malligemadu, Principal. On this occasion, Mr.D.Vishnu Prasad, State Head, ICT Academy, Mr. Bhaskar Yadav, ICT Technical Trainer, Smt.K.S.Sukrutha, IQAC Coordinator, Mr. Prajwal Vasista, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy, Mr.Sony Punnose, Associate- Project Implementation, ICT Academy, Smt.Ramya S K, ICT Committee Coordinator, Ms.Bhargavi H G & Ms.Sowmya N, Faculty Coordinators , students of III BCA were present.

During the function , Mr.Vishnu Prasad briefed on the importance of this 120 Hours certificate course which is under women empowerment program imparted by Cognizant Foundation as part of CSR initiative. Principal during the presidential address instructed the students to take up this course with enthusiasm and learn new things regarding cloud-aws( amazon web services) which are the essentialities for the present digital era . Sir also insisted the students to make the best utilization of this 120 hours hands on course.

NSS unit, MMK & SDM organised "International girl child day celebration" on 30/10/2023. Sri. Yogesh NT, District Child Protection officer, Mysore was the chief guest. In his speech he spoke about theme of international girl child day 2023, "Invest in girls rights: our leadership, our well being",protection act for girl child right, child marriage and its protection act & punishment under the law, girl child rights, POCSO act, female foeticide and punishment for it through constitutional act, also he mentioned the role of NSS students in creating awareness on child marriage, female foeticide and etc. 

Prof. Sainath Malligamadu, Principal, presided over the function. In his presidential speech he mentioned the role of NSS students in creating awareness and he also said "All the rights had been given to women as well as girls to protect themselves through law". In his speech he motivated the interested students of NSS to take up an NSS  internship.

On 31st October 2023, NSS unit of MMK and SDM MMV organised "Fit India rally" and "Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebration" in commemoration of Sardar Vallabha bhai Patel birth anniversary. Fit India rally was aimed to spread health awareness among the public by shouting slogans like "walk for good health and run for good health" and also "Unity in Diversity '' respectively. Rastriya ekatha Divas was observed through taking pleadings in college premises. The rally was launched by Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal, in college premises and the rally went through RTO circle and reached Ramaswami circle. Smt. Anitha P Jayaram, NSS coordinator, Sri. BN Maruti Prasanna, NSS member and 45 students participated in the rally.

The adoption program stands as a novel and heartwarming demonstration of support and care for wild animals, while simultaneously championing the cause of conservation. A collective effort by the College Management, staff, and students saw the generous contribution of Rs. 30,000. This financial backing was employed to adopt a Peacock, an Owl, and a Golden Pheasant each receiving Rs. 5,000, and a remarkable Rs. 15,000 allocated to the adoption of a Black Swan from Mysore Zoo on 30/10/2023. This endeavor stands as a shining example of a community coming together to protect and nurture the wonders of the natural world, exemplifying the highest standards of compassion and responsibility towards wildlife conservation. 

This heartfelt initiative was executed in the presence of the Principal and President of Science and Nature Club, Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, IQAC Coordinator Smt. Sukrutha K S, Coordinator of Science and Nature Club, Miss Niharika V Jain, and members Miss Kavya S N & Dr. Chaitra Mallu, alongside eager and compassionate students.

The guest lecture for III BSc  students, organized by the Department of Physics on 30th october 2023, centered on the topic of " Sir C V Raman and The Raman Effect". Sri Krishna Mohan R, an assistant professor from the Department of Physics at Government Science College, Hassan, served as the resource person. He discussed the discovery, significance and applications of Raman Effect in the field of spectroscopy, enabling the study of molecular vibrations and providing valuable insights into molecular structures.

The industrial visit to L&T on October 27, 2023, was organized by the Department of Physics and Electronics. II B.Sc and III B.Sc students were accompanied by Ms. Niharika V Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, and Sri Sudarshan Kumar, Lab Technician, Department of Electronics. The visit aimed to enlighten students about L&T's history and recent achievements. It featured a model display room and Virtual Reality experience to simulate construction challenges and innovative solutions. The visit also included tours of Electrical and Electronics Labs, Civil Labs, and welding demonstrations, deepening students' technical knowledge. This visit provided students with valuable insights into the construction and engineering industry, fostering problem-solving skills and thus encouraging them to explore future opportunities in this dynamic sector.

Department of Microbiology of MMK & SDM MMV organized an Industrial visit on 30-10-2023 for III B.Sc Microbiology students to Sewage Treatment Plant, Vidyaranyapuram, Mysuru & Organic Research Station, Naganahalli.  The industrial Visit Provided attractive insight on Treatment of Sewage Plant and Organic Research Farming wherein students learnt the different process of Sewage treatment and after secondary treatment the sewage water is sent for irrigation, students also got to know about Composting, Green House, how the plants are grown and managed, soil fertility and so on. A total of 33 students were the beneficiaries. 

The visit was organized and escorted by Mrs. Atiya Sameen MP, Asst Professor and HOD of Microbiology & Mrs. RajaRajeshwari R, Asst. Professor of Microbiology 

Prof Sainath Malligemadu, Principal of the college participates in outreach activity @ KSOU, Mysore.

Let's Pro - Key to your success, a skill development agency, Mysore and Karnataka State Open University Mysore jointly organized Digital Skills Conference on 10th October 2023, for which they have invited Prof sainath Malligemadu to address the students of KSOU, Mysuru and other invited students on skill development.

The conference was inaugurated by Sri Harish Gowda, MLA, and presided by the Registrar, KSOU. Prof Sukrutha KS Associate Prof & HOD,  Prof Ramya KS Associate Prof Department of CS were also attending the program 

The Department of Computer Science in association with Tech Amateur IT Club and Career Guidance and Placement Cell of MMK and SDM MMV had organized a Guest Lecture Programme on Career Opportunities in Power BI.

The resource person Mr. Santhosh C, Head of Business Intelligence and Data, Technical Trainer, Let`s Pro, Mysuru, spoke about the fundamentals of Power BI, its need, services and applications and also the career opportunities in Power BI.

A total of 50 students were benefited by this programme. 

The Entrepreneurial Hub of the MMK and SDM college participated in the ASPERA of Vidyavardaka  Engineering college organized 'TiE University Program Meeting' on 13.10.2023. The TiE Mysuru Chapter was co-organiser of the program.

 The goals of the TiE program were to promote entrepreneurial education for the benefit of the students, to offer more opportunities, and to have a memorandum of understanding with the local TiE chapter for all TiE-related assistance.

 The Charter Member of TiE Mysuru Chapter, Principal and E-cell coordinators, Dr C Nataraju, SJCE, The principal of SDMMMK Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Entrepreneurial Hub coordinator, Sri Niranth M R, and member Dr. Chithanya Pandith, MMK & SDM MMV, Dr Rakesh, CRESTA – School of Management, Science and Arts, Dr Shivakumar, CEO of SJCE STEP and representative from MIT Thandavapura Kishan H S participated in the meeting. Dr Sadashivagowda & Dr. Lokesh C of Vidyavardaka college of engineering & Sri Mahesh Kalale & Dr Mahesh Rao of TiE university coordinated the event.

The Literary Committee of MMK & SDM MMV, in association with BEML Ltd. organized a debate competition, on the occasion of PSU unit's Vigilance Awareness Week’. The event took place with the intention of spreading awareness about corruption prevalent in the society and ways to eradicate the evil. The students took up the topic to debate upon and express their views and opinions regarding the same. 

Prof. Sainath Malligemadu,president of the function addressed the gathering and shared his valuable insights about prevention of corruption and how each and every one of us is responsible for eradicating it. The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. C V Mallikarjun Reddy, General Manager, Head of Planning at BEML Ltd. and the Program Initiator, Mr. S R Muralidhar, DGM, Head of Vigilance at BEML Ltd. talked to the students about the detrimental impact of corruption and the whole nation and how it affects every individual.

The Integrity Pledge for the citizens as well as that of the Organization were also taken under the guidance of the dignitaries present.  Guest of Honour Smt. Nayanakumari, PU Principal, Smt. Bhogeshwari, Coordinator of Literary Committee, Mr. K R Venkatesh, AGM, Head of Plant Safety, Mr. T S Arun Kumar, Head of Training, Mr. P Ramesh, Manager (Vigilance),Mr. B L Hemanth Kumar, Manager (Vigilance), Mr. Jayachandra, Training Instructor, Mr. M C Anil Kumar, PRO from BEML too were present on the dais.

A group from BEML Ltd. also staged a skit on the topic of corruption and the role of the citizens in eradicating it from society by exercising their rights and by being aware of the laws and rules regarding prevention of corruption.

On 16/10/2023, SDM MMK Library, Mysore arranged a Book Exhibition on Scientist and Statesman, late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam  to commemorate his birth anniversary.

All his books including his autobiography- Wings of Fire and Newspaper articles were displayed. 79 Students and 05 faculty visited and viewed the exhibition. The exhibition created an awareness about life and his vision and thoughts towards the future young generation of the country. 

A session on "Gardening and Terrace Gardening" was organized on October 16, 2023, for students enrolled in the Home Management course. Mr. N. Keshava Murthy, Program Executive from Akashvani, Mysore, took the lead in facilitating this insightful session.

The session began with a thought-provoking statement: "If you want to be happy, you can do so for a day by drinking, dancing, dining, reading, or going to a movie. For a week, you can travel; for a month, you can fall in love; for a year, you can get married. But if you aim for everlasting happiness, become a gardener". Mr. N. Keshava Murthy stressed the idea that gardening offers a sustainable source of happiness that transcends the pleasures of other activities.

Gardening, particularly in urban settings, offers a unique opportunity to connect with nature and grow your own food. Terrace gardening, involving the cultivation of plants in pots on rooftops, was a central topic of discussion during the session. With proper planning and effort, even a small backyard can be transformed into a vibrant garden. He explained about the numerous benefits of gardening, encompassing physical and mental well-being. Gardening was shown to have the potential to combat diseases, enhance mood, improve memory, reduce stress, foster human connections, and increase access to fresh produce.

The session delved into various gardening techniques, including vertical gardening, horizontal gardening, aeroponics, hydroponics (soil-less cultivation), and even fish farming. These methods provide diverse ways to cultivate plants and maximize space efficiency. Other crucial gardening concepts were also covered, such as pot culture, shade regulation, microbe culture, harnessing the power of sun and rain, and fertilization (the effective management of water and nutrients for optimal plant growth).

Special recognition was extended to the organizing team, comprising Sri. B. N. Maruthi Prasanna, the Coordinator of Home Management, and faculty members Ms. Kavya S. N., Ms. Nischitha N., and Ms. Sandhya S. from various departments. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in making this enlightening event possible and greatly benefiting 111 students of III B.Sc. and III BCA.

Department of Commerce and Department of Management of the college jointly organised Clubs inauguration on 11th October, 2023 at 10:15 AM in College Auditorium. Dr. Nandan Giri K, HOD & Associate Professor, Dept of Management, MIT, Thandavapura was the guest of honour to inaugurate the Management and Commerce Clubs.

The Club's goals include giving members access to exclusive Industry Exports-led workshops and seminars, networking opportunities with BBA students and professionals, and club resources and merchandise. To develop abilities and prepare students for the competitive world, the club regularly holds a variety of interclass competitions.

Dr. Nandan Giri as the inaugurator for the commerce and management clubs informed students about entrepreneurship and its potential for growth. He emphasised the relevance of activities in the club and the role it plays in creating an atmosphere of innovation and growth for the students 

Prof Sainath Malligemadu, who presided the program highlighted that the responsibility of students is not limited to subjects but to go beyond it and that it should also include a focus on learning. Sir while speaking about entrepreneurship, informed the quote highlighted by Dr D Veerendra Heggade ji, said instead of being an accountant to a company, start a company and hire someone to write accounts of your business.

In a momentous event held on the 16th of October, 2023, the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of MMK & SDM mahila maha Vidyalaya, mysuru successfully conducted its elections for the academic year 2023-24. The results are in, and a new team of office bearers has been chosen to lead the association in its mission to support and enhance the educational experience of students.

The PTA, a vital link between the college and parents, plays a crucial role in fostering collaboration, communication, and the overall educational development of students. The newly elected team is poised to take on this responsibility, bringing fresh perspectives, dedication, and enthusiasm. 

Principal of the Prof. Sainath Malligemadu highlighted various activities conducted by the college. Coordinator of PTA Mr.Shivabeerappa.M & co coordinator syed sadath, all HOD's were present.

Dasara Yuva Sambhrama -2023, the eight-day cultural extravaganza, as part of Nada Habba Dasara, was organised from October 6th to 13th by Yuva sambrama Subcommittee, Mysuru,  at Open Air Theatre in Manasagangothri,  with an ode to erstwhile ruler of Mysuru Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar.

The cultural programme for the event on October 9th 2023, was organized by Cultural Committee MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru. A team of 30 students from all the streams of BCA, B Com, BBA and   B Sc participated and presented a spectacular dance performance on the theme “ Desi Samskruthi – Tulunadu Nruthya”. The dance was choreographed by “ Ritesh Dance Academy'' , Kuvempunagar Mysore. The indigenous art and tradition of Tulu Nadu, the coastal area of the State, was  exhibited with finesse by the students of MMK and SDM College for Women, Mysuru, through ‘Folk Dance’ and ‘Yakshagana’.

The Principal of MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru Prof Sainath Malligemadu and the Cultural committee co ordinator  Dr.Vinodha, Associate Professor and HoD of Kannada Dept, graced the event  and received the felicitation from Yuva sambrama Subcommittee, Mysuru  accompanied by the members of Cultural committee namely Smt. Chaithra, HoD and Assistant professor, Maths dept, Ms. Suprada Jain, Assistant professor, Commerce dept and Smt Ujwala, Assistant professor, English Dept and Smt. Savitha, office staff respectively.

ಎಸ್ ಡಿ ಮ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾನ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು  ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ಮಾರುತಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಾವಿಕವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಡಾ.ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತರು ನಾಡಿನ  ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಟ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಕಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಬಾಲ ಪ್ರಪಂಚವು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ವಿಶ್ವ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಮನೋಭಾವನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆ ನೀಡುತ್ತವೆ, ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ಯಕ್ಷಗಾನವನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಖ್ಯಾತಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ಕಾರಂತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಇಳಿ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಾವೇ ತರಬೇತಿನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತರು  ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ಮೂಲಕ, ಅವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ, ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆ, ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಂವೇದನೆ, ಜೀವಪರ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.

ಕಾರಂತರು ಒಂದು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಂತೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಪ್ರಸರಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತ ಶತಮಾನದ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞೆಯಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಓದುಗರಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಸ್ಮರಿಸುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು..

ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ ಸಿ ಎ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಮಹಿಮಾ ಮತ್ತು ರಚನಾ ಅವರು ಕಾರಂತರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಬದುಕು ಬರಹಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಪಿ ಪಿ ಟಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಬಿ ಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ನಿಸರ್ಗ ಮಹೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಚೋಮನದುಡಿ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯ ವಸ್ತು ಪಾತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ಸಾರಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಕಾರಂತರ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಆರ್ ಕೆ ನಾರಾರಣ್ ಅವರ  ಬಗೆಗೆ ಬಿ.ಕಾಂ ಮತ್ತು ಬಿ ಸಿ ಎ  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಭಿತ್ತಿಪತ್ರ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಗ್ರಂಥಪಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಬಿ ಎಸ್ ಪದ್ಮ  ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಅನಿತ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅಕ್ಷಯ್ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

A Session on “Tally Orientation” was conducted on 03 rd October 2023, for second year B. Com and BBA students organized by the Department of Commerce. This informative session was aimed to educate students on Tally and its importance. Tally is accounting software widely used for managing financial transactions and accounting tasks in business. It helps businesses maintain their financial records, generate reports, and perform various accounting functions efficiently. Tally is known for its user-friendly interface and features like ledger management, inventory management, GST Compliance, and more.

Mrs. Rachana Mahesh, Founder of Edukare, ITES, Mysuru, served as the distinguished resource person for the event. With her expertise, she provided valuable guidance to the attendees on Tally Course, Needs, Importance, Certificates issuing and what are the benefits after completing the tally course.

The session proved to be highly educational and beneficial for the students. Total 92 students benefited from this program.

ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ  ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ 2023-2024ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಸಂಘದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು  ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. 

ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಪ್ರೊ ಎನ್‌ ಕೆ ಲೋಕನಾಥ್‌ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಕೇವಲ ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಮಿತಗೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಪಠ್ಯೇತರ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಖೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದರು. ಎಸ್ ಡಿ ಎಂ ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ  ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆತಾ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಲಹೆ ಸೂಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಭಾಂದವ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿ ಕಾಲೇಜುನ್ನು ಹೊಸ ಎತ್ತರ ಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತಿದ್ದರೆ. 

ಇಂದಿನ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವು ಬಹುವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಾಧರಿತ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸ್ಪೃಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಯುಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಈ ವಿಧಾನವು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. 

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಸಂಘದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಜಾಸತ್ತಾತ್ಮಕ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಈದರಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ನಾಯಕತ್ವ ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಪ್ರೇರಕಶಕ್ತಿ ಒದಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.. 

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಜೀವನ ಸುವರ್ಣ ಜೀವನವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪದವಿಯ  ನಂತರ  ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪೋಷಕರ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಆಶೊತ್ತರಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಡುಬೇಕು  ಪದವಿಗೇ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಕಡಿತಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ಪದವಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆಸಕ್ತಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ ಗೀಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದೇ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳ ದಾಸರಾಗದೇ, ಜ್ಞಾನತಾಣಗಳ ಮೊರೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಪಠ್ಯ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಗ್ರಂಥಾಲಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ  ಪ್ರತಿಬೆ ಇದ್ದು ಅದನ್ನು ನಾವಿನ್ಯತೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ನಿರಂತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಧೃಡ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ದಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ಗೊಂದಲಗೊಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಪೋಷಕರ ಕನಸನ್ನು ನನಸಾಗಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. 

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾದ ನಯನಕುಮಾರಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ಮತ್ತು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕವಾಗಿ  ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಬೇಕು ಪದವಿಯ ಕಾಲಘಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಜೀವನದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಅರಿಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. 

ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾಧ ಪ್ರೊ ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ್‌ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದಾಗ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಉತ್ತಮ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆಯಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ, ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ  ಸಂಯೋಜಿತ ಕಾಲೇಜಾಗಿ ಎಸ್‌ ಡಿ ಎಂ ಇ  ಸೊಸೈಟಿಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜು  ಅತ್ಯತ್ತಮ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಮುದಾಯಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಭೌದ್ಧಿಕ ಜ್ಞಾನವೃದ್ಧಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು  ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸಂಪೂಜ್ಯ ಡಾ ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಅವರ ದಿವ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮತ್ತು ಸಲಹೆ ಸಹಕಾರದಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರ್ರಿನ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಶಿಸ್ತು ಸಂಯಮ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಬದ್ಧತೆ ತೋರಬೇಕೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. 

ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಪದಗ್ರಹಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಲಾಹಿತು ಸಮಾರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ  ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಎನ್‌ ಭಾರತಿ, ಐ ಕ್ಯು ಎ ಸಿ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ  ಪ್ರೊ ಕೆ ಎಸ್‌ ಸುಕೃತ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೊ ಜ್ಯೋತಿಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಜಿ ಕಾವ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಕುಮಾರಿ ರಿಯಾ ಮತ್ತು ಇತರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ  ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. 

ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅನಂತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಂದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.

A Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Commerce to the Students of I BCom & I BBA on the topic “Career Opportunities in Professional Courses” addressed by Mr.Fayaz Ahamed M, Chartered Accountant,Proedge, Bangalore on 27th September 2023.

The students were immensely benefited by the guest lecture, they were able to know the insights and the opportunities in various professional courses like CA/CS/CMA etc. Mr.Fayaz Ahamed M shared his experience and inspired the students with his expertise, he oriented our students to find the best possible position and opportunity in the field of CA/CS/CMA.The session was interactive and informative to the students.

A total of 120 students were benefited by the Guest Lecture.

ಬಿ ವಿ ಕಾರಂತ ಕಾಲೇಜು ರಂಗೋತ್ಸವ 2023 ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಎಂ.ಎಂ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್ ಡಿ ಎಂ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು, ವಿಲಿಯಂ ಶೇಕ್ಸ ಪಿಯರ್ ವಿರಚಿತ  ಒಥೆಲೋ‌ (ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷಾಆಂತರ ಕೆ. ಎಸ್.ನಿಸಾರಅಹಮದ್ )ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ದಿನಾಂಕ 08.10.2023ರಂದು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ರಂಗಾಯಣದ ಭೂಮಿಗೀತ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲಾಹಿತು. ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು  ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿ  ಸಹೃದಯರ ಮನಸ್ಸನು ಸೆಳೆಯಿತು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆಂಟು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು, ಕಲಾವಿದೆ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಚಾಂದಿನಿ ಅವರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಿದರು.ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ  ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಜಂಟಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ  ಮಲ್ಲಿಕಾರ್ಜುನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಅವರು ನಾಟಕದ ಅಭಿನಯದ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿ, ಪುರುಷ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಹಿಳಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶ್ರದ್ದೆಯಿಂದ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿ ನಾಟಕದ ವಸ್ತು ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ, ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದರು. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ. ಎನ್ ಭಾರತಿ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ ರಂಗಾಯಣದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು. ರಂಗಾಯಣದ ಉಪ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಮಠಪತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ಯೋಗಾನಂದ,  ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರು, ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ  ಡಾ. ವಿನೋದ,  ಸಹ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ.ಎನ್. ಮಾರುತಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ  ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ವೃಂದ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಪೋಷಕ ವೃಂದದವರು  ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.ಶೇಕ್ಸ್ ಪಿಯರ್ ನ ನಾಟಕಗಳು ಎಂದೆಂದೂ ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರನ್ನು ಸೆಳೆಯುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಪ್ರತಿ ದೃಶ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಜೋರು ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ನೀಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಸೂಚಿಸಿದರು ಇಡೀ ಸಭಾಂಗಣ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಭರ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ನೆಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ನಾಟಕ ವೀಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು.

MMK & SDM MMV College staged William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" at Ramagovinda Rangamandira on 8th October, 7pm, as part of Mysore College Theatre Festival, a platform provided for colleges by Mysore English Theatre Forum. 

Many dignitaries were in the audience. 

To name a few, Prof. Adisesha S, Chairperson, BOE in English, University of Mysore, Seemanthini B, Founder-Director “DiScite, The Learner’s Consortium”, Nima Manjrekar, Wildlife Biologist, Shashidhara Dongre, Global Head, Process & Quality, L&T Technology Services, Rajesh Basavanna, Sales head, The Hindu, English daily newspaper, Anuradha Nandakumar, Social activist, Dr. Manohar, Homeopathy doctor, A K Monnappa, IAS(rtd), Former DC, Dakshina Kannada district, Mangalore.

 With the support of our Principal Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, the play was directed by Ms. Brunda R, HoD of Dept of English, along with the Coordinators Ujwala S Shetty and Vani, Assistant Professors, Dept of English. The students from final year BBA and B.Com were part of the team.

On 3rd October 2023, NSS unit of  MMK and SDM MMV, Mysore  organized Gandhi Jayanti celebration .Dr. S Tukaram, Rtd. Director, State Resource centre, was invited as a chief guest for the programme. The program was  inaugurated  by lighting a lamp and offering flowers to Gandhi's portrait.  The chief guest inspired students by discussing Gandhian principles. The speech included many topics about Gandhi's personality, ideas, thoughts, dreams, his life in South Africa, independent movement, his concern for the poor, his freedom struggle, truth, non-violence, education, women's empowerment, importance of women's education, equality and explained many incidences from  important books of Gandhiji. The programme was presided by  Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, in his presidential address, he shared Gandhiji's thoughts and concerns about women's education, equality among human beings. NSS was established on his birth centenary anniversary and remembered the influence of Gandhiji on students. He warned the students not to rely upon whatsapp university where the condemnation of Gandhiji is going on.

The program was attended by Mrs. Anitha P Jayaram, NSS Coordinator, Mr. Maruthi Prasanna BK, NSS member, Ms. Bhargavi H G, NSS members and many NSS volunteers. 

ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಂ. ಎಂ. ಕೆ. ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್. ಡಿ. ಎಂ. ಮಹಿಳಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ದಿನಾಂಕ 04.10.2023 ರಂದು ಕರಿಯರ್ ಗೈಡೆನ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸೆಲ್ ಮತ್ತು  ಡಿಸೈಟ್, ಮೈಸೂರು ಇವರ ಸಹಯೋಗದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ಪದವಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಎರಡು ದಿನದ ಸ್ಕಿಲ್ ಡೆವಲಪ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಗಾರದ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನಾ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲಾರದ ಪ್ರೊಫೆಸರ್ ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ್ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು ರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕಾದ ಗುಣ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಒಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಶ್ರದ್ದೆವಹಿಸಿ, ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗುವ ಅನುಭವ ಮತ್ತು ಯಶಸ್ಸಿನ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನದಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಾದ  ಡಿಸೈಟ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸೀಮಂತಿನಿ. ಬಿ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರ ತಂಡ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ  ಡಿಸೈಟ್, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ತರಬೇತುದಾರರಾದ, ಮೊಹಮದ್ ಜಿಷನ್, ಡಾ. ಮುಝಹಿದ್ ಶೇಕ್, ಸ್ಯೆಯದ್ ಆಫ್ಟಬ್ ಅಹಮದ್, ಅಬ್ದುಲ್ಲಾ ಹಸ್ಸನ್, ಕೆ. ಪ್ರವೀಣಾ ನಾಯ್ಡು, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯಾದ ಮಹದೇವಸ್ವಾಮಿ. ಎಸ್., ಪ್ಲೇಸ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಎಂ. ಆರ್., ಕಾವ್ಯಶ್ರೀ, ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸುಧಾಮಣಿ ಮತ್ತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಹಾಜರಿದ್ದರು 

Book exhibition was arranged in the library to commemorate the Birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, the father of Nation on 3rd October 2023. The main objective of the exhibition was to create awareness among the students about the life and writing on Gandhi and Gandhian values, Nonviolence The literature on M. K. Gandhi was displayed on the occasion. The students and faculty benefited from the exhibition.

On the occasion of NSS Sapthaha NSS unit  organized SHRAMADAN  on 1st October 2023 in the college premises as a respect towards Mahatma Gandhiji. A total of 30 NSS volunteers joined  hands to clean the college campus. Mrs. Anita P Jayaram, NSS Officer was present in the program.
