On 30/05/2023 Tech Amateur IT club has conducted TREASURE HUNT Competition for all BCA and B.Sc (Computer Science) students. Each team comprised of 5 members. Two teams from each class and Total 10 teams have participated in this event. The event is inaugurated by the principal  Prof. Sainath Malligemadu. As an inauguration event a picture puzzle is conducted for all teaching faculties. This competition had 5 rounds and each rounds has elimination of teams on first come first serve basis. Final round had 3 teams to find the treasure.  A team from II BCA won the competition. 

On 29/05/2023, Ms. Sowmya N, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science conducted an Interdisciplinary Lecture Program on the topic "Cyber Security" to II BSc(BmBt) students. A total of 32 students were benefited by the program.

Mathematical model exhibition competition - ` 2 ∞ & beyond` was organised by Department of Mathematics for final year B.Sc. students. Exhibition turned to a platform to showcase the creative and technical talent of our students. The students demonstrated the working of their models using charts. It was educative and also entertaining. The exhibition was certainly successful because a large number of people attended it. Total of 138 beneficiaries.

A guest lecture on the topic "Banking facilities to entrepreneurs" by Mr.RameshRao ,AGM, Karnataka Bank Ltd , Regional office, Mysore , had been organised to all the 1st year B.com A sec & B sec students from Department of Commerce & Management. This session helps students to understand various banking facilities to the new entrepreneurs and students got an awareness about various schemes and benifits from the government to start up their own business.

On 22-5-2023 a Guest Lecture was organized by the Department of Microbiology for Life Science students on the topic “Microbiota and Millets- better health and sustainable developments” by Dr. Praksah Halamai, Chief Scientist & Professor- AcSIR, CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, MYSORE.

A Study tour was for I B.Sc students to Science Park at Ramakrishna Vidyashala, from Department of Physics on 2nd of May 2023.

On May 27, 2023, an Extension Activity was organized by the Department of Physics for High School students of DGTM Educational Institute, with a total of 39 students in attendance. The activity included the demonstration of a few simple experiments in Physics. 

Ms Niharika V Jain, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, conducted an Interdisciplinary session on “X-ray Crystallography” for III BtBM students on 30th of May 2023.

Smt. Namratha D, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, conducted an Interdisciplinary session on “Gravitational Waves” for III B.Com students on 12th of May 2023.

Department of Physics organized an Interclass competition – Physics Behind Photograph, for Physics students on 26th of May 2023. A total of 15 participants took part, with Ms. Nischitha M, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry and Smt. Jitha K N, Lecturer in Physics serving as the Judges.

A Guest lecture was organized from the Department of Physics on the topic “Human Anatomy” for I B.Com and I BBA OE: Medical Physics students, on 11th of May 2023. Resource person was Ms. Choodamani M S.

29/05/2023 - University Affiliation Committee comprising Prof Soner Mandappa- Chairman of LIC- DOS in Mathematics, Manasagangothri, Mysore,

Prof Nagaraj N, DOS in Commerce, Manasagangothri, Mysore and Prof Y H Nayakwadi, DOS in History, Manasagangothri, Mysore Visited the college.

Prof Sainath Malligemadu, Principal briefed about the college developments to the LIC Committee members. HoD`s of all the Departments were present.

A one day hands-on workshop on High Performance Liquid Chromatography-HPLC was organized by the Department of Biochemistry, MMK & SDM MMV on 27.05.2023 at the Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Centre, PG wing of SBRR Mahajana FGC, at Metagalli, Mysuru. This is the third HPLC workshop being organized as part of the MOU between the two institutions. Biochemistry students of II and III year attended the workshop. The coordinators for the workshop were Dr. Wethroe Kapfo, HOD and Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry, SDM MMK Mahila Maha Vidyalaya and Dr. Girish Chandran, Course Coordinator, Department of Biochemistry, PBMMEC, PG wing, Metagalli, Mysuru. Dr. Chaitanya Pandit and Miss Rayana Lavitha D Silva were present during the workshop. 

11/05/2023 – Department of Computer Science celebrated National Technology Day

by showing the video of a speech rendered by Honourable Prime Minister Narendra  Modi on the theme "School to Startups -  igniting young minds to innovate" through YouTube Channel to the students of final year BCA. 

25/5/2023 - IQAC Meeting was held. External members Prof. T K Umesh, Retired Professor of Physics from UOM, Prof Parasuraman, Director of SDM-IMD, Mr Kumarpal Jain M, Charted Accountant, Sri Purushotham, Ex Mayor, Parent President Sri Rajashekara Aradhya were present. Nominated Staff members and Student Union President Ms Niharika Jain attended the meetng. Dr Wethroe Kapfo, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry Welcomed the members. Smt K S Sukrutha,HoD of Computer Science & IQAC Coordinator presented the Minutes and Action Taken Report of the previous meeting held on 18/3/2022. Then the Chairperson Prof Sainath Malligemadu, Principal discussed the agenda of the meeting. Various agenda was discussed and suggestions were given by esteemed members of IQAC. IQAC Committee approved the AQAR-2022 to be submitted to the NAAC portal. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks by senior Professor Smt N Bharathi, HoD of Physics.

On 26/5/2023 a Student Faculty Programme was conducted for I BCA students on the topic "Set Theory" of Discrete Mathematical Structure course by Chinthana S V of III BCA student. A total of 63 students were benefited from the program. The program was organized by Ms. Sowmya N, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science. 

On 23-05-2023 commerce and management department organised a One day workshop On "Emerging Trends in Entrepreneurship Development".  Inaugurated by Dr.Rakesh T.S Principal GSSS First Grade College mysore.This workshop has three sessions with three different tropics.

 The main objective of this Workshop is to increase knowledge regarding Entrepreneurial and business development and motivate students to become Entrepreneur with new business ideas to our Economic development.

MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya,Krishnamurthypuram,Mysuru had organized an 'Alumni Meet' under the alumni association “Rathna Manasa Hiriya Vidyathiniyara Sangha®  on 13-05-2023 at the college auditorium. The dignitaries on the dias are the principal Prof.Sainath Malligemadu, the chief guest Dr.M.K.Usha,Guest of Honour Dr Shama E Milton,IQAC Co-ordinator Smt.Sukrutha.K.N , the co-ordinator of Alumni association Smt.Chaithra.N.

The agenda of the meet was to elect the office bearers, submit annual report and accounts statements for the financial year 2022-23, alumni sports day,etc.  

MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya,Krishnamurthypuram,Mysuru had organized an election to office bearers of Rathna Manasa Hiriya Vidyarthiniyara Sangha® on the day of 'Alumni Meet' on 13-05-2023 at the college auditorium under the guidance of the ex-officio and  principal Prof. Sainath Malligemadu. Smt.Maheshwari R C was elected as the President, Dr. Shama E Milton ,Ms.Pooja V and Ms.Megha Anand were elected as the Vice presidents and Ms.Yashna T T was elected as the Secretary of the Alumni Association

On 12/5/2023 Tech Amateur IT club of the Department of Computer science oraganised a coding competition for all BCA and BSC students. 

54 students were attended the competition

To create awareness aboutBiodiversity that encompasses the genetic variations present within each species, exemplified by the diverse crop varieties and livestock breeds and highlight the importance of chromosomes, genes, and DNA, which serve as the fundamental building blocks of life, contribute to the distinctiveness of individuals and species alike.

Outcome:  The students got awareness regardingthe theme of the International Day for Biological Diversity 2023 “From agreement to action: build back biodiversity”. This involved respecting, protecting, and repairing the biological wealth.The models prepared by students depicted that chromosomes, genes and DNA serve as the fundamental building blocks of life, contributing to the distinctiveness of individuals and species. The students  explained the genetic differences within each species — for example, between varieties of crops and breeds of livestock — and the variety of ecosystems (lakes, forest, deserts, agricultural landscapes) that host multiple kind of interactions among their members (humans, plants, animals) and highlighted the importance of biodiversity issues emphasizing rDNA technology. The prizes were given to the 3 best models.

National Service Scheme (NSS) and Legal Literacy Club (LLC) jointly organised "Voting Awareness Jaatha" on 8th May, 2023 from College Peimesses towards Ramaswamy Circle to spread awareness and importance of voting on 10th May, 2023.

On 8.5.2023 Career guidance and placement cell organized "Optum Pool Campus Drive" for 2022 batch students. 

On 5th May, 2023 Commerce and Management Club Organized "TREASURE HUNT" competition for B.Com and BBA Students. 99 students have actively participated and 41 students have organized the competition in a systematized manner. 

Ms. Vidya M R Assistant Professor of Department Commerce and Management took the initiative of organizing the competition and Mr. Nirantha M R Coordinator of Commerce of Management Club, Mr. Santhosh D H Assistant Professor of Department Commerce and Management were present and encouraged the students to think and use their creativity to solve mysteries in Treasure Hunt.
