Kuvempu Geethagayana program was organized to commemorate the 115th birth anniversary of Kuvempu on 29/12/18.Retired Professor & Kannada Rajyothasava awardee Smt. Sarvamangala ,department of Kannada, Maharaja's college Mysuru, was the chief guest to the program.She spoke on the topic: "Kuvempu Kavyadali Vicharika pragne".

A book exhibition to commemorate the birth anniversary of Kuvempu was organized in our college Library on 29/12/18.

MMK&SDM Girls PU college celebrated Annual Day on 28^th December 2018. Prof.M.Krishne Gowda, the retired Principal of St.Philomena’s College and a popular celebrity speaker in television shows was the Chief Guest. Prof. Sainath Malligemaadu, the Principal of MMK Degree college was the guest of honour and Prof .M.V. Asha, the Principal of MMK&SDM Girls PU college presided over the function. The Guests inugurated the event by lighting the lamp. The chief guest Prof.M.Krishne Gowda, in his address he inspired the students to over come small mistakes in life which would help them to shape their character with moral values. He also advised students to develop the art of communication which is important to build a better social life.

Ms. Pooja R of II BtBM bagged second place in quiz competition held at two day extension lecture programme organised at SJCE, Mysore on 27-28th December, 2018.

44 Students of First and Second Year Science , Commerce and Management streams along with 5 Staff members attended "Unlearn To Transform" motivational program for students on 21 December 2018, which aimed at motivating them to achieve their Goals. The program was conducted by Sri. Venkatesh SV, Founder, Riiit & Advisor, NSDC, Government of India at Senate Bhavan , Manasagangothri , Mysore.

The Valedictory ceremony of seven Day Campus Recruitment And Training Programme was held on 18 December 2018 and students were distributed Certificates of Participation. Principal Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Mr. Muralidhar Bhat, Centre Head, Aptech , Mysuru and Placement Coordinator Smt.Ramya.S.K were present at the event. The Campus Recruitment and Training Programme was held for all Final Year Students of the College.

Smt. Atiya Sameen, HOD of Microbiology and Smt.Wethroe Kapfo, HOD of Bio Chemistry along with 17 students attended Two Day Extension Lecture Programme on Chemical Biology orgnasized by Department of Chemistry, SJCE, JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru on 27-12-2018 and 28-12-2018.

Inauguration of Six Day Campus Recruitment and Training Programme was held on 12th December 2018 in the College Auditorium for all the final year students. Principal of the college, Prof. Sainath Malligemadu inaugurated the event and the Team Heads of Aptech Learning, Placement Coordinator Smt.Ramya.S.K and the members of placement Committee were present.
