A book exhibition was held at MMK SDM MMV, Mysore, on January 31, 2025, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the renowned Kannada lyric poet Datthathreya Ramachandra Bendre. The Department of English at MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysore, in collaboration with Deccan Herald and Prajavani – Newspaper in Education, organized a workshop titled “Role-Playing Business Scenarios to Improve Language Skills” on January 30, 2025, under the guidance of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The event was inaugurated by Mr. K. Narasimha Murthy, Bureau Chief of Prajavani, Mysore, who encouraged students to pursue higher education and career enhancement. Mr. T.R. Satish Kumar, Bureau Chief of Deccan Herald, Mysore, attended as the Guest of Honour. Ms. Kavitha M. Prakash, Program Trainer at Oasiz Events and Training Consultants, delivered a lecture on the practical application of language skills in business communication. Prof. Bharathi N, Principal of MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment and communication skills in her address. The program benefited 50 students and was coordinated by Smt. K.S. Sukrutha, IQAC Coordinator, and Ms. Brunda R, Head of the Department of English. The event featured interactive sessions, discussions, and practical exercises, concluding with positive feedback from participants and highlighting the significance of effective communication in professional settings.
MMK and SDM MMV, Mysore, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with vibrant and dignified ceremonies on January 26, 2025. The event featured an NCC parade and band performance, coordinated by Smt. Malathi, Director of Physical Education. The Chief Guest, Professor Bettegowda, Regional Editor of Government First Grade College, Kuvempunagar, Mysore, hoisted the national flag. In his address, Professor Bettegowda emphasized the importance of the Constitution and highlighted the nation’s achievements, urging students to celebrate Republic Day with enthusiasm.
