As a part of extension program, Department of physics organized demonstration of simple experiments in physics for the students of Government High School, Lakshmipuram,Mysore.25 students from SSLC took part in this along with the staff members.Experiments like,Faraday`s law of electromagnetic induction,Bernoulli`s theorem,Variation of Resistance with Intensity,Dispersion by Prism,Resonance were demonstrated by Final year B.Sc students.

On 16.8.2022 - Six Days Personality Development Programme (16.8.2022 to 21.8.2022) was inaugurated by our Principal. The programme was organized in association with Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC), Bangalore, District Skill Development Office(DSDO), Mysore ,Naandi Foundation, Telengana . The programme is an CSR initiative of Mahindra & Mahindra group.

The inauguration of a Certificate Course on Programming Essentials in Python as part of “Women Empowerment Program” a CSR initiative FedEx programme implemented by ICT Academy and hosted by Department of Computer Science of MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysore was held on 10/8/2022 for final year BCA students. Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal of the college inaugurated and presided over this 100 hours Python training program including certification. Dr Vishnu Prasad, State Head Karnataka, ICT academy was the Chief Guest. Mr Mohammed Yasin Shabhaz,Data Scientist,from X-CIENCIA Technologies India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore was the resource person. Mr Prajwal S VasistaRelationship Manager ICT ACADEMY , Mysore Region, Smt K S Sukrutha, Programme Coordinator and HoD of Computer Science Department and other Staff member were present on the occassion.

Department of Physics has organised a one day University Level Workshop on the topic "Renewable Energy Sources & Sustainable Technologies" to all B.Sc Physics Stream students on 11/08/2022.G Vivek Bharadwaj was a Resource Person who is currently working as a Program Manager,Center for Incubation and Startups,NIE, Mysore.In the workshop, different Renewable sources which can be implemented in day today life were discussed and few Sustainable technologies were demonstrated.130 students from various colleges were benefited.
