Dr. Mallepuram G Venkatesh, Retired Vice-Chancellor of the Sanskrit University, Bangalore, was the Chief Guest. Smt. Rathna, Deputy Director,PU Board, Mysuru and Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal of MMK & SDM Degree college, was the Guest of Honor. Prof.M.V.Asha, Principal of PU college presided over the function.
The guests gave an auspicious beginning by lighting the lamp. Smt N. S. Asha,Student Welfare Officer, administered the Oath to the newly elected office bearers. The Chief Guest Dr. Mallepuram, in his address enlightened the importance of knowledge and motivated the students to develop the willingness to learn throughout life.
