Promotion of computer literacy is one of the most essential areas in education. The important role which it plays is the intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of children. Keeping this objective in mind, in the month of June, Seventeen teams comprising the students of final year BCA organized an extension activity Computer Literacy Program for the Government Rural and Urban schools under the guidance of staff members of the Computer Science Department.

Events: Shodhak- Quiz, Model Presentation, Coding, Lecturing, Astra-Finance Manager, HR Manager, Marketing Manager and Best manager.  

16/06/2023 - DAY2 : Sri. Ranjan Kasargodu, famous actor of Kannada movie industry  was the chief guest. 

Events: Kalaparna- Abhinetri-Variety Entertainment Program, Literary -TurnCoat, Picture Tale, Debate. 

Banner Launch was organized for the intercollegiate fest on 13th June 2023 followed by intercollegiate fest "PRABHIGYAN" 

Outreach Programme was conducted in Maharani's PU College by Dept. of Microbiology on "Blood Grouping".. few Students of Maharanis PUC checked their Blood Group.

MMK & SDM MMV, Mysuru organized Two Days  International Conference on " Recent Research and innovations in life science 2023" in Collaboration with Association of Microbiologist of India- Mysore chapter (AMI-MC) on 27th and 28th June 2023. Of Microbiology and Fermentation Technology, CSIR CFTRI was the guest of honour, Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal, Mrs. Atiya Sameen M P, HOD of Microbiology and organizing secretary, Mrs. RajaRajeshwari R, Deputy organizing Secretary and others were present and concluded the session with exchange of MoU of MMK and SDM MMV with IBAB, Bangalore...

Ms. Kruthika M and Ms. Kusumanjali R of II BCA have participated and secured First Place in Inter college Web Designing event of "Vidwath-2k23" organized by Vidyavardhaka First Grade college conducted on 23rd and 24th June 2023. 

Ms. K M Likhitha of III B.Com 'B' and Ms. Anagha V of III BCA have participated and secured First Place in Inter college Treasure Hunt Competition of "Vidwath-2k23" organized by Vidyavardhaka First Grade college conducted on 23rd and 24th June 2023. 

On 27/6/2023 Tech Amateur IT Club of the Computer Science Department organized a Wall Magazine Display Competition for all BCA and BSc Computer Science students. A total of 68 students' wall magazines were displayed. 

The Department of Computer Science had organized One Day University Level Workshop on Statistical Computing with R on 23rd June 2023. Dr. Hanumanthappa J, Professor, Department of Studies in Computer Science,  University of Mysore, Manasagangothri, Mysore inaugurated the programme. In his inaugural speech he emphasized the importance of R Programming in various fields of applications and advised the participants to use R Programming in the research field for data visualization.

Dr. Rashmi B S, Assistant Professor, Department of Studies and Research in Information Technology KSOU, Mysore and Dr. Lavanya P G, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science Maharani’s Science College, Mysore were the resource persons. Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal of the college presided over the function. Sixteen participants from various colleges including research scholars and 36 final year B Sc students were benefitted by this hands-on workshop

On 19.6.2023 - Inauguration of Campus Recruitment Training programme was held . Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal is seen welcoming Smt.Saraswathi Hegde, Center Director , TIME, Mysore. 36 Hours Campus Recruitment Training programme ( MOU  with TIME institute, Mysore ) will be held for all final year UG & PG students during June & July 2023 to increase number of placements. 

On 14.6.2023 at 10 am MENTOR MENTEE MEETING(MMM) was held to all UG and PG classes. 

On 01/06/2023,Ms. Harini  from III BCA gave a Student Faculty Program to I BCA students on the topic “Cyber Security” of Digital Fluency course. Ms. KAVYA SN, Assistant professor of Computer Science department organized the program.

To observe International Biological Diversity day, on 20.05.2023 the Science and Nature club of the college had organized a visit to Bandipur National Park. 41 students participated in the program and witnessed the diverse life forms in its natural habitat. 5 staff members accompanied the students

Objective – To have a collaboration with Institute of Bioinformatics and applied Biotechnology (IBAB) Bangalore.

Outcome:  TheMemorandum of Understanding  (MoU) was signed on 28thJune, 2023 betweenInstitute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB) , Electronic City, Bengaluru,  Karnataka, India 560100 and  MysoreMakkalaKoota and Shri DharmasthalaManjunatheshwara,MahilaMahaVidyalaya (MMK and SDM, MMV), ,krishnamurthypuram, Mysore – 570004.

Both IBAB and SDM College wish to establish collaboration in certain areas of academic research activities, development and training that are beneficial to both the institutions and promote faculty exchange and student exchange activities. SDM College Mysore got its pride to be the first and foremost degree college in Mysore to have collaboration with IBAB.
