ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ ಡಿ ಎಂ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಮತ್ತು ಆಂಗ್ಲಭಾಷಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಮೈಸೂರು ಆಕಾಶವಾಣಿಯ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಯುವವಾಣಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಯುವ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಚಂದ್ರಯಾನ ೨ರ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತ ರೂಪಕ, ಜಲ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕುರಿತು ರೂಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಮತದಾನ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ, ಜನಪದಗೀತೆ ಭಾವಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಮೈಸೂರು ಆಕಾಸವಾಣಿಯಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಕಂತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾಗಲಿದ್ದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಪ್ರತಿಭೆಗಳಿಗೆ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ‌ ಡಾ ವಿನೋದ  ಆಂಗ್ಲಭಾಷಾ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಬೃಂದಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾರುತಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ, ಕುಮಾರಿ ಅನಿತ ಎಚ್.ಬಿ. ಆಂಗ್ಲಭಾಷಾ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಉಜ್ವಲಾ ಕುಮಾರಿ ವಾಣಿ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ೩೫ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. 

A webinar session was organized by ICT Academy under the aegis of ICT ACADEMY THOUGHT LEADERS TALK SERIES ON FUTURE FORECAST IN LIFE SCIENCES SPECTRUM from 10 AM to 12PM on 24/04/2024. The Webinar focused on the areas of career prospects of life science, digital maturity in life science , emerging trends in life science. The speakers for the webinar session were Dr. Nagendra G , Associate Vice President, ICT ACADEMY, Dr. Rahul Amritraj, Head of Incubation Centre for Medical Innovation, GIMS(Govt Institute Of Medical Sciences), Dr. Devesh Kumar, Founder & Managing Director, IR- Innovative Research , Dr. Regiane Relva Romano, Former Special Adviser to the Ministry MCTI, Head Smart Campus- FACENS, CEO- VIP-Systems. Dr.Wethroe Kapro, Dr. Chaitanya Pandith, Smt.Atiya Sameen, Smt. Rajarajeshwari, faculty members of Life Science department, MMK and SDM MMV, attended the webinar.  

An Institutional visit to SDM Research Institute for Biomedical Sciences was organized for final year B Sc Life sciences students (33) by the Department of Biotechnology, MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru on 15th April 2024. Prof Sainath Malligemadu, the Principal of MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru guided students of importance and fame of SDM University prior visit. The visit inaugural address session was held at  SDMRIBS, Dharwad in the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Dr. Niranjan Kumar, Executive Director Smt Padmalatha Niranjan and  Dr. K Satyamoorthy, Director-Research of SDMRIBS.The program coordinator was Dr. Shwetha S, HoD and Asst Prof Biotechnology Dept. and the Life science faculties Dr. Wethroe Kapfo  Smt Athiya Sameen, Smt Rajarajeshwari, Dr. Chaitanya Pandit and Ms Durgashree were organising members from MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru. Dr. Wethroe Kapfo, HoD and Asst Prof Biochemistry Dept. graced her presence throughout the visit and extended enormous support and encouragement. Dr Ajaykumar, Dr Mallikarjun, Ms Apoorva Jain and Dr Giridhar were the coordinators from SDMRIBS, Dharwad.The participants witnessed the profound and progressive research works focused on Stem Cell, Cancer Biology, Immunology and Molecular biology were explained to the students under the guidance of Dr. Palaksha K. Javaregowda and Dr. Vishwas Kaveeshwar. 

On April 6th, 2024, the Student Welfare Committee of MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyala, Mysore organized the valedictory ceremony of "Prabhigyan -2024". The event celebrated the achievements of students across various colleges, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and skills. Distinguished guests, including Vidhvan Sirdhara Jain, Natyacharya, and Yashwanth Shetty, shared insightful messages with attendees. Vidhvan Sirdhara emphasized the importance of learning from life's experiences and confidence in overcoming challenges, while Shetty motivated students to actively participate in various events.

Professor Sainath Malligemadu delivered a presidential speech that resonated with the audience, emphasizing the significance of facing challenges head-on and the lessons learned during student life. He expressed gratitude to the college principals for sending their talented students and emphasized the importance of sportsmanship. The event was a grand success, with MICA College, Mysore emerging victorious. The ceremony served as a fitting finale to "Prabhigyan -2024," celebrating student talent, promoting camaraderie, and inspiring future generations to pursue their passions with confidence and determination.

On April 15, 2024, the Department of Physics and Electronics organized a study tour to the Akashvani radio station for third-year B.Sc Physics students. Miss Niharika V Jain, Assistant Professor in Physics, accompanied the students during this insightful visit. The experience served to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications by providing a deeper understanding of radio station operations.

During the tour, students had the opportunity to observe the inner workings of the radio station, including live broadcasting, production, and technical aspects. They interacted with seasoned professionals, gaining valuable insights into the industry. Additionally, students explored the historical significance of Akashvani and its role in disseminating information to the public.

A Home Management Session on "First - Aid '' was held at MMK and SDM MMV Mysore to educate students on "First - Aid, Home Prevention - Remedies" on 20th April. 

Dr. Abishek, Medical Officer, Suyog Hospital Mysuru and Mr. Prabhu Deva M. K. Head - HR & Corporate Business Development, Suyog Hospital, Mysore was the resource person.

With their expertise, they provided valuable guidance to the attendees on how to respond during emergencies such as road accidents, cuts, choking incidents and heart attack etc., They also demonstrated the life - saving techniques, allowing students to witness practical applications firsthand.The interactive session provided the students with knowledge and practical skills, ensuring their preparedness to respond effectively to emergencies in various home and community settings. Total 86 students benefited from the session.

A Home Management Session on " Women Entrepreneur and Work Life Balance" was held at MMK and SDM MMV on 19th April. Dr. Shwetha Madappadi, Founder of Dhvani foundation, Author and Young Entrepreneur, Mysuru, was the resource person.

During the session, Dr. Shwetha discussed her life's journey from childhood to the present as well as all of the difficulties she has encountered. The Brahmin Cafe is now run by her. She is the originator of Dhvani foundation, and although they began tiny, they now have four outlets available in the Mysore area. In addition to giving advice on how to manage professional and personal obligations, she encouraged the students to launch their own businesses. Dr. Shweta offered the students a chance, saying that they could sign up for their next project if any of them were interested in starting their own business.

Sri Maruthi Prasanna B. N. Home Management Coordinator, Dr. Vinoda, HOD Department of Kannada and Ms. Sandhya. S, Assistant professor Department of Commerce member of Home management, were present.

Students of MMK &SDM MMV, Mysore bagged the first prize for the Drama competition held at the College Fest ‘Jo- Conclave’ organised by St. Joseph’s College for Women, Rammanahalli, on 19th April.  Select scenes from Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth” were staged by the team.

The drama was Directed by Ms. Brunda R, Head, Assistant Professor, Dept of English. It was coordinated by Mrs. Ujwala Shetty, Assistant Professor, and co-coordinated by H.Vani, Assistant Professor, MMK & SDM College. 12 Students were part of the team accompanied by the faculty members of the Department of English. 

The event provided a platform for students from different colleges to come together, showcase their talent and creativity, and connect through the various discourses that took place. The college management and the staff members heartily congratulate the winners.

On 17th April 2024, Career and Placement Cell of MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, organised Campus Placement drive in association with Persolkelly company for final year students. Prof Sainath Malligemadu, Principal, gave the inputs to the students regarding recruitment process. Mr. Manjunath (Team lead) and Mr. Shashank (HR) started the drive with different rounds and an ample number of students got shortlisted. Smt Sukrutha, IQAC Co-ordinator, Mr. Mahadevaswamy, Career and Placement Cell Co-ordinator and other members of the cell were present. 

On April 15th, From Department of Commerce of MMK and SDM MMV, 57 final year Bcom students visited  Sree Sowmya screens, an industry which Manufacturers all types of Packaging materials at Yadavagiri Mysore. The Owner of the industry Shri Babu has explained about the importance of paper and various processes involved in it. Organizer of the program Shri Prashant Jain, HOD, Commerce and coordinator is Syed Sadath, Assistant Professor, Dept of Commerce.

The objective of this industrial visit to the packaging manufacturing industry aims to provide students or professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the production processes, the application of modern technology and automation, and the importance of quality control and environmental sustainability in the sector. This experience helps bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, offering insights into the design, innovation, and supply chain integration crucial to the industry.

ಮೈಸೂರು, ಎ. 6: ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಯುವ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗದೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪರಂಪರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವೀಯ ಸಂಬಂಧಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಹತ್ವ ನೀಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳದ ಧರ್ಮಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಎಸ್.ಡಿ.ಎಂ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ. ಡಿ. ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಅವರು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.  ನಗರದ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ‘ಪ್ರಭಿಜ್ಞಾನ್’ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಉತ್ಸವವನ್ನು ಎ. 5 ರಂದು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

 “ಪ್ರಭಿಜ್ಞಾನ್ ಹೆಸರೇ ಮಹತ್ವಪೂರ್ಣವಾದುದು. ಇಂತಹ ಉತ್ಸವಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಪರಂಪರೆಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ದಾರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ. ಅನೇಕ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುವುದಲ್ಲದೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಪರತೆ, ಭ್ರಾತೃತ್ವದ ಮಾನವೀಯ ನೆಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತವೆ” ಎಂದರು.  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಜ್ಞಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿತ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆಗಾಗ ಹಸುವಿನಂತೆ ಮೆಲಕುಹಾಕಿ ಸಂದರ್ಭಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಶಿವರಾಮ ಕಾರಂತರು ತಮ್ಮ ಬದುಕಿನ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಹತ್ವ ನೀಡಿ ಪಾದರಸದಂತೆ ಬದುಕಿದರು. ಸಮಯ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದು ಸುಳ್ಳು. ಸಮಯ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಸದ್ಬಳಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಸಾಧನೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

 "ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮಹತ್ವ ನೀಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಪ್ರತಿಭೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಲ್ಲೂ ಸುಪ್ತವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಬರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಇಂತಹ ಉತ್ಸವಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು" ಎಂದರು.  ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆ ಅವರ 75ನೇ ಜನ್ಮದಿನದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಕ್ತದಾನ ಶಿಬಿರ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಸೇವಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಖೇಲೋ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆಯಲ್ಲಿ  ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಆಯುಷಾ ಐನೆನ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನಾ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಇದೇ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

 ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲ ಪ್ರೊ. ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ್ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು, ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ನಯನಕುಮಾರಿ, ಐಕ್ಯುಎಸಿ ಸಮಿತಿ ಸಂಚಾಲಕಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಕೆ ಎಸ್ ಸುಕೃತ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜ್ಯೋತಿಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಜಿ ಕಾವಾ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ರಿಯಾ ಯು ಆರ್, ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿ ಸಾನ್ವಿ ಗೌರಮ್ಮ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.  ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಡಾ. ವಿನೋದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿದರು. ಉತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಂದ 54 ತಂಡಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 125 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
