ಒಥೆಲೋ ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ವಿತರಣೆ

ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರದ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ರಂಗಾಯಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಬಿ ವಿ ಕಾರಂತ ಯುವ ರಂಗೋತ್ಸವ ಮತ್ತು ನವರಾತ್ರಿ ರಂಗೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಥೆಲೋ ನಾಟಕ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಪತ್ರ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು  ರಂಗ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು  ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ  ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರಸೀಕೆರೆ ಯೋಗಾನಂದ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಇಂದಿನ ಒತ್ತಡದ ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಟಕ ಕಲೆಯು ಸಂತೋಷದ ಬದುಕನ್ನು ನಿರೂಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಒಥೆಲೋ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಬಹಳ ಮನೋಜ್ಞವಾಗಿ ಬಿ ವಿ ಕಾರಂತ ಕಾಲೇಜು  ಯುವ ರಂಗೋತ್ಸವ ಮತ್ತು ನವರಾತ್ರಿ ರಂಗೋತ್ಸವ ಎರಡು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ  ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ರಂಗಾಸಕ್ತರ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಾಟಕ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಿಸಿದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಚಾಂದಿನಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರನ್ನು ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಂಗ ಶಿಬಿರಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಯೋಜಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಿಗೆ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ರಂಗಾಯಣದ ಕಲಾವಿದರಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಚಾಂದಿನಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ಗಂಭೀರ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು  ಅದರ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ಹೊಂದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಈ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಕಲೀಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯಯವಾಹಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವೂ ಬಹಳ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿ ಪ್ರತಿ ದೃಶ್ಯಕ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂದಿತು, ಈ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಕಲಿಸಲು ಕಾಲೇಜು ಅವಕಾಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಗೆ ರಂಗಾಸಕ್ತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಿದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ್‌ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆಮಾಡು ಅವರು ಜೀವನವೇ ಒಂದು ನಾಟಕ ರಂಗ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಪಾತ್ರಧಾರಿಗಳು ಸುಂದರ ಬದುಕಿಕೆ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಅಭಿವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತದೆ  ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಓದುವ ಅಭಿರುಚಿಯನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ರೂಢಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿ ಒಥೆಲೋ ನಾಟಕವು ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಳಿತು ಕೆಡಕುಗಳ ಜಿಜ್ಞಾಸೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವುದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥ, ಕುತಂತ್ರ ಆತ್ಮ ವಿಮರ್ಶೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಆಗುವ ದುಷ್ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಾಟಕವು ಧ್ವನಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ  ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ  ಶೇಕ್ಸ್ ಫಿಯರ್‌  ಎರಡು ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎರಡು ಸ್ಥಳಗಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಅಭಿನಯಿಸಿರುವುದು ಬಳ ಸಂತಸದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ ಡಾ ವಿನೋದ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ ಎನ್‌ ಮಾರುತಿ  ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಅನಿತಾ ಹಾಗು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು


ICT Academy: Bridge 2023 and Ui Path, at Bangalore

On 13.12.2023 - Prof.Sainath Malligemadu, Principal, Mr.Mahadevaswamy S , Placement Officer , Mrs.Padma B S , HOD , Department of Library and Mrs.Rajarajeshwari R, Assistant Professor of Microbiology participated in the Bridge 2023 - Building Human Capital , Accelerating growth, enabling access, an Industry Academia interaction event at ITC Gardenia, Bengaluru organized by ICT ACADEMY, Chennai. And next day on 14th Prof Malligemadu HOI of the college attended a meeting at UiPath office on Robotic Process Automaton @ Prestige Trade Centre, High Grounds, Bangalore.

Paper presentation at International Conference on Intelligent systems in computing & communication 

On 8/12/2023 and 9/12/2023, Smt Nayana M P, assistant professor of Computer Science, MMK and SDM MMV presented and published a paper on “ Architecture of Biometric System using multiphase” in the proceedings of  International Conference  on Intelligent systems in computing & communication  at Mangalore Institute of Technology & Engineering,(MITE), Moodabidri  in association with Springer.   

Dr. Shivananda V Seeri, HOD, Dept of CSE(IOT), MITE and Dr. Ravi Narayana B, Head, Dept of CSE, MITE were the Chair Persons for the Presentation.

vachana Literature Essay Contest Sucess 

In a bid to foster creativity and intellectual exploration among college students, the Sharana Literary Foundation, based in Mysuru, organized an essay competition on the theme "Vachana Literature - Essence of Life." The competition, held exclusively for students of Mysuru City College, aimed to encourage innovative thinking, academic excellence, and expressive writing.  Ms. Rachana, a first-year B.Com student, had secured II Prize. The Sharana Literary Foundation has meticulously planned a grand ceremony slated for December 9, 2023, at SaraswathiPuram JSS Women's College. This event  witnessed the felicitation of Ms. Rachana and the other 12 participants who received reward and participation certificates.

Students' Council Inauguration of M.Com 

The formal function of Inauguration of Students' council and Freshers Day of Mcom Department commenced with a prayer, setting a serene and auspicious tone for the event. All the dignitaries on the stage included the Principal, Prof. Sainath Malligemadu,  Dr. Devaki K.K, HOD and Student welfare coordinator, and Dr. Dileep Kumar, Assistant Professor, along with the office bearers were welcomed. The programme was followed by the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, a symbolic gesture that illuminated the path ahead for the new leaders and the freshers. It included the solemn ceremony of bestowing badges upon the newly elected office bearers, entrusting them with the responsibility of representing and guiding the student body. 

Debate Competition 

On 14th of December, the riveting debate on "AI Integration in Education: A Catalyst or Controversy" organized by the Department of Physics and Electronics showcased compelling arguments from adept participants. Judges Smt. Chaithra N, HOD of Mathematics and Miss Nischitha M, Assistant Professor in Chemistry with their academic prowess, meticulously assessed the viewpoints presented. The Winners are Miss Riya U R, III B.Sc, Miss Nirma V, and Miss Sreejita, both from I B.Sc, exhibited comprehensive understanding and eloquence on the subject.

Home Management session on "Love Yourself" 

A session on "Love Yourself” was organized on December 16, 2023, for students of Home Management course. Ms Vaishnavi Shetty, Proprietor of Vaaruni's makeup studio and academy, Mysore, delivered the session. 

The session encompassed grooming demonstrations like makeup and hairstyles, fostering confidence and self-appreciation. Beyond surface-level discussions, the session delved into the essence of self-love, addressing mental health, stress management, and the importance of positive affirmations. It emphasized personalized self-care rituals catering to individual lifestyles.

Interactive discussions encouraged sharing experiences, creating a supportive environment for learning from one another's self-love journeys. Ultimately, the session aimed to guide participants towards a deeper understanding of self-care, integrating grooming techniques with inner well-being practices. It sought to empower individuals to embrace self-love as a crucial aspect of leading healthier, more positive lives. Special recognition was extended to the organizing team, comprising Sri. B. N. Maruthi Prasanna, the Coordinator of Home Management, and Members. The program was greatly benefiting 102 students of III B.Sc. and III BCA.

An Extension activity "Internet awareness program"


On 13/12/2023 Department of Computer Science had organized Internet Awareness Programme for the 8th and 9th standard students of Government High School, Lakshmipuram, Mysore as part of extension activity. The Staff members of the department and a few students of final year BCA involved themselves in training the 25 school students on how to use Internet technology and its applications in various fields.

 

The programme was a great success and the students were able to learn about the various aspects of the Internet and its applications. The students were taught how to use the Internet for their education, communication and entertainment purposes. They were also taught about the various online tools and resources that are available to them.

Overall, the Internet Awareness Programme was a great initiative by the Department of Computer Science to educate the students about the importance of the Internet and its applications. Smt. K S Sukrutha, HOD, Smt. Ramya S K, Associate Professor, Smt. Rajitha V, Associate professor, Smt. Jyothilaksmi G Kava, Assistant Professor, Smt. Nayana M R, Assistant Professor, Ms. Bhargavi H G, Assistant Professor, Ms. Sowmya N, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Kavya S N, assistant professor of the Computer department were part of this extension activity. Children gave very positive feedback about the programme and they insisted on conducting such a programme in future also.

Home Management session on "Food and Nutrition" 

A session on "Food and Nutrition" was organized on December 2nd, 2023, for students of the Home Management course. Dr. Uma V. Manjappara, Principal Scientist at CFTRI, Mysuru delivered this insightful session.

In the illuminating session on food and nutrition led by Dr. Uma, a comprehensive understanding of balanced diets and their impact on health was explored. Emphasizing the significance of macronutrients and micronutrients, Dr. Uma highlighted the pivotal role they play in maintaining physiological functions and overall well-being. The discussion encompassed the calorie requirements across different age groups and activity levels, underscoring the importance of a balanced diet comprising carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and adequate hydration. Moreover, the session delved into the escalating concern of obesity, elucidating its multifaceted origins encompassing genetic, dietary, and lifestyle factors. The elucidation of peptides like obesity, its role in appetite regulation, and its potential therapeutic implications in weight management added a fascinating dimension to the discourse, offering insights into potential interventions for obesity.

Dr. Uma's session served as an invaluable guide to understanding the intricate relationship between nutrition, obesity, and the body's hormonal signaling. Through an exploration of calorie requirements, macronutrients, and micro nutrients, attendees gained a holistic view of the elements crucial for maintaining a healthy diet. The discussion on obesity, coupled with insights into peptides like obestatin and their impact on appetite regulation and metabolic functions, illuminated potential avenues for managing weight and related health conditions. Overall, the session not only underscored the importance of a balanced diet but also shed light on the intricate mechanisms influencing body weight and provided a glimpse into potential therapeutic strategies for combating obesity and related metabolic disorders. Sri. B. N. Maruthi Prasanna, the Coordinator of Home Management, and faculty members Ms. Kavya S. N., Ms. Nischitha N., and Ms. Sandhya S. from various departments were also present during the session.

Human Rights Day - 2023 

The NSS unit of MMK and SDM MMV organised the Human Rights Day celebration on 11th December 2023. Mr Adhisaya Kumar  J, Christian Marriage Registrar,  Chamarajanagar, on the occasion of Human Rights Day delivered a lecture to the NSS students. In his speech he mentioned the theme of Human Rights Day of 2023 and its meaning as well as the history behind the celebration. He said all sections of society deserve respect for human rights doctrine and strive for an end to violence. In his speech he outlined the many crises facing societies across the globe. With many examples, he explained the violation of human rights in society. He also suggested students educate others in order to create awareness of human rights violations. Smt. Sukrutha K S, IQAC coordinator, Smt. Anitha P Jayaram, NSS coordinator and NSS members and NSS Volunteers were present during the programme. 

Young Voters Registration and Awareness Ceremony 

The NSS unit of MMK and SDM MMV in association with the Legal Literacy Committee organized the Young Voters Registration and Awareness Ceremony on 08/12/2023.

 

Mr. Nagaraju H K , Zonal Commissioner, Zone - 2, Vijay Nagar, Mysore who spoke about the relevance of voting, informed the students to make use of their right to vote, sir also made a mention about the time how carefully we choose clothes to purchase similarly there should be much more carefulness required when we cast a vote. 

Dr. Ranjini P, Special officer,  Regional Joint Director Office, Mysore, spoke about the essence of how one vote can make a prime minister or chief minister of this county/state. It doesn’t matter if we are affiliated to any party or not, but what matters is casting a vote irrespective of party or person Prof Sainath Malligemadu, in presidential speech started by saying the constitution by Article 324 has made provision for Election commission of India, which is a constitutional post.

Voting is not just our right but our duty as well, as it helps the country to choose the right candidates. Addressing the students sir mentioned if you feel the candidates are dishonest or disloyal then you can cast your vote for NOTA, If the % of NOTA increases then there are high chances of reelection taking place. Career and Entrepreneurship Guidance Program 

An IQAC initiative - Career and Entrepneurship Guidance Program emphasized on “Artificial Intelligence – A game changer in Early Cancer Detection” was organized for B Sc Life sciences students (54) by the Department of Biotechnology in association with Entrepreneurship Hub, MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru on 9 th December 2023. 

Prof Sainath Malligemadu, the Principal graced the event with his presence. The Resource person was Shri Vinay Aradhya, Product Manager, Thomson Reuters, Toronto, Canada. The program Coordinator was Dr. Shwetha S and Cocoordinator was Ms Durgashree A J, from Biotechnology Dept. Smt Sukrutha K S, IQAC Coordinator, Shri Niranth M R, Entrepneurship hub Coordinator , Dr Chaitanya Pandit and Shri Mahadevaswamy - members of hub and Smt Rajarajeshwari –career and placement committee member supported the event successfully. 

The participants were guided on emerging AI technology and its significance by the resource person. He explained that developing responsible AI is an industry issue and a societal imperative with consideration of skin cancer detection as an exclusive example. They were made aware that AI will have a transformational or high impact on their profession in the next five years and will create new professional career paths.

The best protection any women can have is courage 

On 9th December 2023 Department of Business Administration and Entrepreneurship Hub jointly organised a Guest Lecture on " Empowerment of Women" for all BBA students. 

Resource Person Sri. Mohammed Shoaib CEO Canasu Dream Foundation, Bangalore gave inputs to students about the encouragement of Women in all the sections of society to make their own decision and they need to empower themselves by being strong from heart and think from mind. They need to learn how to embrace their life with all challenges everyday. And also told stories related to self love and respect for elders' decisions. 

The session was presided by Prof. Sainath Malligemadu who shared views about empowering women involving granting them tools, opportunities and autonomy.  Sri. Shivabeerappa M, HOD, BBA , Sri. Niranth M R Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Hub, Smt. Vidya M R Assistant Professor of BBA department and Sri.Mahadevaswamy S Member of Entrepreneurship Hub were present in the session.

Home Management Session on "Power of attorney, Will, Inheritence" 

A session on "Power of attorney, Will, Inheritance" was organized on December 09th, 2023, for students enrolled in the Home Management course. Mrs. Asmathunnisa, Assistant Professor, JSS Law College, Mysuru delivered this insightful session.

The session delved into the intricate legal landscape surrounding Power of Attorney, wills, and inheritance, shedding light on crucial aspects of property rights, succession, and personal laws. Mrs. Asmathunnisa meticulously navigated the conceptual analysis, emphasizing the evolving role of these legal instruments in shaping inheritance frameworks. Central to the discourse was the exploration of property rights for women, highlighting the historical context and contemporary advancements in securing equitable access to inheritance. The session aptly underscored the significance of understanding personal laws, elucidating their nuanced implications in the distribution of assets and testamentary dispositions.

Sri. B. N. Maruthi Prasanna, the Coordinator of Home Management, and faculty members from various departments were present during the session. The programme greatly benefited 92 students of III B.Sc. and III BCA. 

Vigilance Awareness Week - Prize Distribution 

On 19th October 2023, the Literary Committee of MMK & SDM MMV, in association with BEML Ltd. organized a debate competition, on the occasion of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’. Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, Principal of MMK & SDM MMV, addressed the gathering and shared his valuable insights about prevention of corruption. The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. C V Mallikarjun Reddy, General Manager, Head of Planning at BEML Ltd. and the Program Initiator, Mr. S R Muralidhar, DGM, Head of Vigilance at BEML Ltd. talked to the students about the detrimental impact of corruption and the whole nation and how it affects every individual in ways that are unaware of. 

The Integrity Pledge for the citizens as well as that of the Organization were also taken under the guidance of the dignitaries present. On 4th December, 2023, the prizes were distributed to the teams by our Principal Prof. Sainath Malligemadu . Tanushree and Team won the first prize, while Anusha & Team and Nisarga Mahesh & Team won the second and third prizes respectively.

ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅತ್ಯುನ್ನತ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನ ಮೈಸೂರು, ಎಂಎಂಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷಾ ಉತ್ಸವದ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ" ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಕ್ಯತೆ" ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು .

ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದ  ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಹ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಚಿಕ್ಕಮಗಳೂರು ಶ್ರೀ ಗಣೇಶ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಳುನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿವೆ,ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿರುವ ಎರಡನೇ ದೇಶ ಭಾರತವಾಗಿದೆ. ಸಮಕಾಲಿನ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಸಮನ್ವಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿವೆ,ಧರ್ಮಗಳಿವೆ, ಮತಗಳಿವೆ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುವ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡಬೇಕಿದೆ ವಿವಿಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಪಸರಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ  ಏಕತೆ ಎಂಬುದು ಕೇವಲ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಆಗಿರದೆ ನದಿಯಾಗಿ, ಗಾಳಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯಾಗಿ ಜೀವನ ಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದರೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಹಲ್ಮಿಡಿ ಶಾಸನದಿಂದ  ಇಂದಿನ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯದವರೆಗೂ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನಪೀಠ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ, ಸ್ವರ್ಣ ಕಮಲ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ ವಿನೋದ ಬಾವೇ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡವು ಸುಂದರ ಲಿಪಿಯಾಗಿ ಲಿಪಿಗಳ ರಾಣಿ ಎಂಬ ಗುರುತಿಸಿರುವ ಮಾತು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಭಾಷೆ ಹಲವು ‌-ಭಾವ ಒಂದು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಭಾರತೀಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ ಸಾಯಿನಾಥ ಮಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಮಾಡು ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತೆ ಘೋಷ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕು ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಾರತಮ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಆತಂಕದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿದೆ.ಭಾರತದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಷೆಗಳು ಸಮಾನವಾದ ಭಾವನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೂಲತಃ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಇಂದು ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಇಚ್ಚಾಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಭಾವಿಸಿ , ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ವಿರೋಧ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ವಸುದೈವ ಕುಟುಂಬಕಂ ಎಂಬ ಧ್ಯೇಯವು ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿನ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗೀತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿರುವ ಆಶಯಗಳು ವೈವಿಧ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಏಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಂವಿಧಾನಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಾಗ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಭಾರತ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಕಾಣಬಹುದು ಶ್ರೀ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳವು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಸರ್ವಧರ್ಮ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ,ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನ, ಮುಂತಾದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಐಕ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಾಧಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತಿದೆ ಪೂಜ್ಯ ಡಾ ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಹೆಗ್ಗಡೆಯವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಂಕರ್ಯಗಳು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಅನನ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ವ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

 ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿ ಐ ಐ ಎಲ್ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸೀನಿಯರ್ ಫೆಲೋ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿ ಸುಬ್ರಮಣ್ಯ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಾಸ್ತಮಿಕ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥೆ  ಡಾ. ವಿನೋದ ಅವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು. ಶ್ರೀ ಬಿ.ಎನ್.ಮಾರುತಿ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನ ಅವರು ಸರ್ವರನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿದರು ಪ್ರಥಮ ಬಿಕಾಂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ ರಾವ್ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.

AIDS Awareness Programme 

On the occasion of World AIDS Day, the NSS unit of MMK and SDM MMV organised an AIDS awareness session for all NSS volunteers on December 5, 2023 in the auditorium.

The session was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Shiraz Ahmed, Dist. TB and AIDS Control Officer, Health and Family Welfare Dept., Mysore. Dr. Mohammed Siraz Ahmed spoke briefly about the importance of observing World AIDS Day every year. He explained the worldwide statistics of HIV or AIDS, the mode of transmission, treatment, and availability of medical facilities for people living with HIV or AIDS.

After the guest speech, Dr. Vinoda, HoD of the Kannada Department, briefed on the importance of awareness about HIV/AIDS. Smt. Anita P. Jayaram, NSS coordinator, NSS members, and NSS volunteers were part of the programme.

Valedictory of "Tally Prime - Essential -1" add on course 

Department of Commerce and Management has Organized Add-on Certificate Course on the Topic “Tally Prime – Essential – 1” in association with the Tally Certified Training Partner “EduKare ITES” from 1st December 2022 to 23rd August 2023 for the Second year B. Com and BBA Students. This course was successfully completed and distributed the Certificate on 5th December 2023.

This certificate course assists the students to become job ready by equipping them to work in many government and private organizations, accounting firms, consultancies, auditing companies, market research etc. The students had  completed 58 sessions including theory and practical. Now the students will get job opportunities in the field of Accounts executive, Junior Accountant, Data entry operator, Accounts assistant, Tally operator and Accountant Trainee etc 

Guest Lecture Programme 

On 4th, December 2023, The Department of English organized a guest lecture on the topic 'An Analysis of Tragic Hero in Othello and Macbeth", Dr. C. Naganna (Kannada Rajyotsava awardee), professor emeritus, University of Mysore, Mysore, delivered a lecture to the students of II B.Com, BBA, BCA, and B.Sc on the topic mentioned above.The guest lecture by Dr. C. Naganna proved to be a valuable addition to the academic discourse at MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya Krishnamurthypuram. The exploration of tragic heroes in Othello and Macbeth not only enriched the literary understanding of the audience but also provided a platform for intellectual engagement and discussion. The event successfully achieved its objectives, leaving a lasting impact on the students and faculty present in the auditorium. On behalf of Kannada Nudi Ratna Sanga of MMK and SDM MMV institution,  Dr. C. Naganna, professor emeritus, University of Mysore and Kannada Rajyotsava awardee of 2023 was felicitated for his service in the field of literature. Prof. Sainath Malligemadu, principal, felicitated the guest. During the programme staff members of Kannada Department and English department were present. 

Inter - Institutional workshop

An Inter-Institutional 2-day Hands-on Workshop on “Animal Cell culture Techniques” was organized for final year B Sc Life sciences students (28) by the Department of Biotechnology, MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru in association with School of Life Sciences Pooja Bhagawat Mahajanas PG Centre, Mysuru on 1st and 2nd December 2023 as part of MoU program at Mahajanas PG centre, Metagalli road, Mysuru.Prof Sainath Malligemadu, the Principal of MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru and Dr. S R Ramesh, the Chief Scientist of School of Life Sciences, Mahajanas PG Centre were the dignitaries of the event. The program coordinator was Dr. Shwetha S, HoD and Asst Prof and Cocoordinator was Ms Durgashree A J, Asst Prof from Biotechnology Dept. SDM. Prof. Mahadesh Prasad and Ms Smitha Grace, School of Life Sciences Mahajanas PG Centre were the resource persons.The participants performed hands on experiments on media preparation, maintenance, preservation, viability counting, staining and morphological analysis of mice skin cells. The certificates were issued for participants post workshop.
