On 31st August 2024, MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysore, hosted the Fresher’s Day Programme “BIENVENIDA TYROS” to welcome first-year students. The event, led by final and second-year students, was filled with excitement and camaraderie. Varsha of II BCA ‘B’ served as the energetic Master of Ceremony, while Thashvi Gangamma of III BBA, the Student Council President, warmly welcomed the gathering. Principal Prof. Bharathi N delivered an inspiring Presidential Address, emphasizing perseverance and growth through the story of the cocoon and the butterfly. She encouraged students to develop personality skills and seize opportunities over the next three years. Aishwarya of III B.Com ‘B’ expressed gratitude in the vote of thanks. The event featured a cultural program, compered by Radika and Jayashree of III B.Sc, and included a ramp walk competition judged by faculty members. Prizes were awarded to first-year students for various categories.Miss Fresher for the year 2024 was Sanjana M.H, I BCA 'B'. The event was graced by faculty, staff, and student representatives, making it a grand success. The Fresher’s Party left new students inspired and eager to begin their academic journey.
Book exhibition was conducted here in MMK& SDM MMV Library , Mysore to celebrate Independence day on 19 th August 2024. Books related to Indian Independence were displayed. Biographies of freedom fighters - M K Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Jawahar Lal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, Gopalkrishna Gokale and women who took part in independence struggle were displayed. Newspaper articles related to Indian Independence were also on display. The exhibition created an awareness in students about National independence struggle. 85 students and 7 faculty members viewed the exhibition.
Book Exhibition was arranged herein MMK & SDMMMV Library, Mysore to celebrate Birth anniversary of Dr. Sudhamurthy on 19 th August 2024. Books written by the author were displayed on the occasion. The exhibition created an awareness in readers about the literary works of the author. 90 students and 7 faculty members viewed the exhibition.
On August 29, Youth red cross of MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya in association with Krishna Raja Traffic police station Mysore organised a traffic awareness rally from the college campus to Ramaswamy circle, Mysuru. The police inspector Sri Sharath Kumar H. P., Principal Prof Bharathi N, Youth red cross co-ordinator Syed Sadath and 40 YRC volunteers were present.
The objectives of this traffic awareness rally are to educate people about traffic rules and regulations, promote road safety and responsible driving habits, raise awareness about the consequences of reckless driving, encourage adherence to traffic signals and signs, reduce the number of road accidents and fatalities, promote the use of safety gear like helmets and seatbelts, and discourage drunk driving, speeding, and rash driving. By achieving these objectives, traffic awareness rallies can contribute to a significant reduction in road accidents and promote a safe and responsible driving culture.
The Software Committee of MMK and SDM MMV organized an orientation program for all teaching staff on August 29, 2024. The event was coordinated by Smt. Hajra Begum, the Software Committee Coordinator, and addressed by Professor Bharathi N., Principal, and Smt. Sukrutha K.S., IQAC Coordinator.
The program focused on the use of the EERPMS portal to update all activities, insights into various functional committees to prepare related programs as discussed, timely submission of AQAR, and the maintenance of professional etiquette to adhere to the institution’s rules.
A Home Management session on "Hygiene cleanliness & Women's Health Protection" was delivered by Dr. Madhuri. N, Director & Fertility Consultant, Prerana Hospital, Kuvempunagar, Mysore on 30th of August 2024 at MMK and SDM MMV, Mysore.
She explained how depression, anxiety, and behavioral disorders can affect our lifestyle. She discussed the various ways menstruation impacts women’s lives, including education, health, economy, and dignity. She also highlighted the importance of the HPV vaccine and emphasized that “every woman is different.” Students learned that societal taboos should not influence their career choices. She advised that using sanitary napkins reduces infection risk and recommended changing them frequently. Additionally, she encouraged the use of biodegradable sanitary napkins. Signs of menstrual cycle problems were also discussed. Students gained awareness about healthy eating plates, which should include vegetables, whole grains, fruits, and protein. A total of 180 students benefited from this session.
On account of "National Space Day" on 23/08/2024, the Department of Physics conducted an Interclass "Poster presentation competition " for Physical and Life Science students of 1st, 2nd and 3rd year BSc. Smt. Chaithra N, HoD of Mathematics and Smt. Nayana M P, Asst. Professor of Computer Science was on the judge panel. Smt N Bharathi, HOD of Physics was the co-ordinator and Smt Namratha D and Smt Ruthu Ramachandra Hegde, Asst.professors of Physics were Co-coordinators.
Competition was organized to commemorate the successful launch of Chandrayan-3 and to aspire students for careers in space technology and it helped to exchange knowledge among the participants contributing to broader understanding of the subject. The competition was examined by two criteria, first being poster making and second being presentation skill. Students gained a new perspective to study Space technology and Cosmology.
A total of 16 students participated, and the winners were: Sreejita R and Kshama (2nd B.Sc.) for first place, Nirma V and Shreedevi A S (2nd B.Sc.) for second place, and Shwetha U and Deepthi H (2nd B.Sc.) for third place.
The Department of Physics organized a guest lecture programme by Dr. H R Sreepad, Professor of PG Department, Maharani's Science college for women, to 2nd year BSc students on 29/08/2024 on the topic " Benefits of Advancement in Science and Technology " which highlights how advancement in Science transforms the way of life. He explained chronological development in the field of communication, Space and Technology, Optics,Lasers , medicines and so on.

A Career Guidance Guest Lecture Program was conducted by Department of Mathematics and Department of Biochemistry, MMK and SDM MMV for III BSc students on the topic “Growing Opportunities in Dynamic World” by Dr. Sheshagiri Rao, Academic Director, H Cross, Mysuru on 29th August 2024. The program successfully raised awareness among students about various competitive exams such as JAM, JEST, CUET, and JGEEBILS, which serve as entrance tests for master’s degrees at premier institutions in India. As a result, students gained valuable knowledge about the pathways to advanced education and the opportunities available to them, equipping them with the information needed to make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.
Department of Commerce organized a "Career Awareness Programme" for both first and second year B.Com students on 26th August 2024.Ms.Prachetha, Practicing Company secretary was the Resource person. Mr. Prashanth Jain, HOD organised the program. Mr. Mahadevaswamy was the coordinator of the program. Total 175 students attended the session.
Ms. Prachetha gave insights about various career options after pursuing the Under graduation and the to pursue the Passion in the respective field to achieve the Success.
MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysuru organized an extension activity for 32 students from classes 9 and 10 of Lakshmipuram High School, Mysuru on August 28, 2024. The program was coordinated by Smt. Namratha D, Assistant Professor of Physics, Smt. Ruthu Ramachandra Hegde, Assistant Professor of Physics, and Smt. Pallavi Angadi, Assistant Professor of Mathematics. The objective was to motivate young students to derive meaningful Physics principles from experimental observations and mathematical calculations using Vedic tricks. These techniques enabled students to perform basic Math quickly and easily, fostering critical thinking and enhancing their passion for these subjects.
The demonstration of Physics experiments and the explanation of Vedic Mathematics captivated the students’ attention. The outcome was an increase in knowledge and skills related to basic Physics principles, as well as improved problem-solving and mathematical reasoning abilities. The students’ response was commendable, as they gained foundational knowledge and skills in Physics and mathematical reasoning.
ನಗರದ ಎಂಎಂಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಸ್ಡಿಎಂ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕನ್ನಡ ವಿಭಾಗದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 28 ರಂದು ಆಯೋ ಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ 'ನುಡಿರತ್ನ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ'ವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಎಂ.ಕೃಷ್ಣಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಭಾಷಾಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಜ್ಞರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಅತ್ಯದ್ಭುತ ವಾದ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಾಲ್ಕೂವರೆ ಸಾವಿರ ಭಾಷೆಗಳ ಪೈಕಿ ತುಂಬಾ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕ ವಾದ, ತರ್ಕಬದ್ದವಾದ 36 ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡವೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿರುವುದು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ವಿಷಯ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆ ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಡು, ಒಗಟು, ಜನಪದ, ಧೀಮಂತ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ... ಹೀಗೆ ನಾನಾ ತರಹದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಇವೆ. 13 ಭಾರತೀಯ ಭಾಷೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದಂತಹ ವಿನೋಬಾ ಭಾವೆ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಲಿಪಿಯನ್ನು 'ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಲಿಪಿಗಳ ರಾಣಿ' ಎಂದು ಕರೆದಿದ್ದರು. ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯದಿಂದ ನೋಡುವ ಪರಿಪಾಠ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿರುವುದು ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಂಡಾಗ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ತರ್ಜುಮೆ ಮಾಡಿಯೇ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂಬ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡದೇ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುವ ಪರಿಪಾಠವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಲಾರ್ಡ್ ಮೆಕಾಲೆ ಎನ್ನುವವನು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಒಗ್ಗಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಮುರಿಯ ಬೇಕಾದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಉಜ್ವಲ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ, ಪರಂಪರೆ, ಭಾಷೆ ಯನ್ನು ನಗಣ್ಯಗೊಳಿಸುವುದೇ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾರ್ಗ ಎಂದು ಸಾರಿ, ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ರಚನಾತ್ಮಕವಲ್ಲದ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನೆಲೆಗೆ ತರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದನು ಎಂದು ಕೃಷ್ಣೇ ಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಯ ಉಳಿವು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತೃಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಉಳಿಸಿ ಬೆಳೆಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Tech Amateur IT Club of Computer Science Department conducted an IT Crossword Competition on 22/8/2024 to all BCA and B.Sc., Computer Science students.IT Crossword puzzles help students to develop their analytical, creative, problem-solving, communication and confidence- building skills. Apart from motivating students learning, puzzles help students to extend their vocabulary knowledge, engage with course material and to increase students' confidence. The event was organized by Smt. Nayana M P and Smt. Amulya S Chandru, Assistant Professors of Computer Science Department. A total of 51 students participated.
The 100-hour Certificate Course on Retail Team Leadership, sponsored by Infosys Foundation as part of their CSR initiative, was organized by ICT Academy in association with MMK & SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Mysore. The course was specifically designed for third-year B.Com students. Spanning 14 days from August 5, 2024, to August 23, 2024, the program included 80 hours of Retail Team Leader topics and 20 hours of Soft Skills training. Topics covered during the certificate course included shelf life and promotional requirements, stock rotation, merchandising principles, basics of visual marketing, delivery management, customer support, customer management, and an introduction to purchasing and stock management.

On 23.8.2024 -20 Students of III BCA of MMK and SDM MMV attended INFOSYS SUMMIT 2024 at INFOSYS CAMPUS, Electronic City , Phase 1 , Bengaluru . The objective of the Summit was EMPOWERING DIGITAL INNOVATORS OF TOMORROW. The programme briefed on the importance of Digital Literacy and the necessity of upskilling technical skills among young students. The renowned speakers of the summit focussed light on the courses , internships , certifications available on the INFOSYS SPRINGboard platform. The team of INFOSYS SPRINGBOARD highlighted the working of the platform since its inception in the year March 2021. The Springboard has Government Bodies, Academic Institutions and Students as its Stakeholders. To improvise the IT skill based knowledge among rural students , the concept of LAB ON WHEELS is adopted where in an IT related Lab is set up in a Bus which moves across the rural areas. The students of the College were highly impressed after visiting Infosys Campus and got a lot of insights regarding the necessity of Upgrading in the present digital era. Smt.Ramya S K , Associate Professor of Computer Science, SPOC, INFOSYS SPRINGBOARD accompanied the students.
On August 23, 2024, the Literary Committee at MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya Mysore successfully organized the inauguration of Wall Magazines for all departments. The event was graced by Prof. Bharathi N, Principal of the college, who served as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the departmental wall magazines. Smt. K. S. Sukrutha, IQAC Coordinator, and Smt. Ujwala S. Shetty, Literary Committee Coordinator, collaborated in the event. The enthusiastic participation of department heads, literary committee members, students, and both teaching and non-teaching staff collectively contributed to the program’s grand success.
The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of MMK & SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya conducted the selection of office bearers for the academic year 2024-25. The newly elected office bearers are Sri Parameshwara H.M as President, Smt. Rajini as Vice President, Sri Raghavendra H. Kulkarni as Secretary, Smt. Anju and Sri Deepak Prabhu V. as Joint Secretaries. During the event Prof. Bharathi N, Principal, Smt. On August 9, 2024, a Home Management session was organized on the topic “Happy Living for Home Management” by Dr. Vinoda, Head of the Department and Associate Professor of Kannada at MMK and SDM MMV Mysore.
Dr. Vinoda discussed the evolving roles of women within family structures, highlighting the transition from traditional responsibilities such as managing household chores, cooking, cleaning, and caring for children and elderly family members, to the challenges faced by working women balancing professional and personal life. She emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment in achieving gender equity, which includes enhancing women’s self-worth, decision-making power, and access to opportunities and resources
The Home Management committee of MMK and SDM MMV organized a guest lecture on August 23, 2024 on the topic "Constitutional Rights and Laws for Women’s Protection" by Dr. Prakruthi, Assistant Professor at Vidyavardhaka Law College, Mysore.
Dr. Prakruthi thoroughly explained the essential legal rights every woman should be aware of, emphasizing that “Women’s Rights are Human Rights” and that “Restrictions on women’s rights undermine democracy.”
Students gained insights into various Indian laws designed to protect women, such as the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act of 1971, the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act of 2013, and the Equal Remuneration Act of 1976. These laws aim to provide women with greater legal protection against violence.
The event was attended by the coordinator, B.N. Maruthi Prasanna, along with members Mrs. Sandhya S, Mrs. Kavya S N, Mrs. Namratha D, and Mrs. R Rajarajeshwari.
On 20th August 2024, NSS unit of MMK and SDM MMV organized celebration of the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, who was India's prime minister as Sadbhavana Diwas, which is also known as "Harmony Day," which serves as a reminder of his vision for a prosperous, united, and peaceful India.
The program was presided over by Prof. Bharathi N, principal, MMK & SDM MMV and Prof. Sukrutha KS, IQAC Coordinator and Smt. Anitha P Jayaram, NSS coordinator was dignitaries on the dais. In presidential speech, the president emphasized Rajiv Gandhi’s vision of a prosperous and peaceful India and also mentioned his contribution for Education, promoting communal harmony, peace, and national integration. The NSS coordinator pledged the Sadhbhavan Diwas to all attendees shortly after the presidential speech. In the program, NSS Members, Ms. Bhargavi HG, Ms. Prathima M, Ms. Vaani H and Dr. ArunKumar and NSS volunteers were present.
On 13/08/2024 – Election of Office Bearers was conducted for the class representatives of BCA, BCom, BBA and BSc, MMK and SDM MMV, Mysuru. Student Welfare Officer Smt. Jyothilakshmi G Kava described the democratic election process. The results of the election are as follows, Ms. Thashvi Gangamma K C - III BBA (President), Ms. Gangashree M - II B.Com A (Vice President), Ms. Aishwarya S Prasad - III B.Com B (Secretary) and Naga Ashwini - I BBA, Harshitha G - III B,Com “A” (Joint Secretaries). The panel members selected the following students based on their contribution and performance of previous years for the respective posts - Ms Sinchana Mutthamma - III BBA (Sports Secretary), Ms Radhika N - III BMBt (Cultural Secretary), Ms Nisarga Mahesh III - B Com B (Literary Secretary). The principal, Prof. Bharathi N, congratulated all of the class representatives and expressed her best wishes for the candidates in the office bearer election, stating the essence of leadership, focusing on qualities like empowerment, vision, responsibility, and the importance of leading by various examples. The IQAC Coordinator Smt Sukrutha K S graced the event and congratulated the selected council members. ನೆಲಮೂಲ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿ ಅನುಸರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಇಂದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ ದೇಶದ ಸಂವಿಧಾನವು ನೀಡಿದ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳು ಕರ್ತವ್ಯಗಳ ಪರಿಪಾಲನೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಗ್ರ ಭಾರತದ ಅಭ್ಯುದಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದು ವಿಜಯವಾಣಿ ಸ್ಥಾನಿಕ ಸಂಪಾದಕರಾದ ಎಂ ಆರ್ ಸತ್ಯನಾರಾಯಣ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಎಂ ಎಂ ಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀಧರ್ಮಸ್ಥಳ ಮಂಜುನಾಥೇಶ್ವರ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಲಕೀಯರ ಪದವಿಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜು ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ 78ನೇ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿ ಬ್ರಿಟೀಷರ ದಾಸ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತವಾದ ಭಾರತ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು 78 ವರ್ಷಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಈ ಸಂಧರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ದುಡಿಯುವ ಮಹಿಳಾ ವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಭನಾ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ದೊರಕಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು ಇಂದಿನ ಯುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಯು ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಅಂಕಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೀಮಿತಗೊಳಿಸದೆ ಬದುಕಿನ ಭಾವಾಗಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠಭಾರತವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರ್ವ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಭಾರ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ವಿಜಯಶ್ರೀ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಹಲವು ಮಹನೀಯರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಬಲಿದಾನದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ದೇಶವು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರದ ಮೂಲ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆಗೆ ಗೌರವಿಸಿ ಮುಂದಿನ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ಭವ್ಯ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ನೀಡಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆವಹಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ ಎನ್ ಭಾರತಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ದೇಶಭಕ್ತರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಬಲಿದಾನದ ಫಲವಾದ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರ ಭಾರತವು ಇಂದು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ ದೇಶದ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ರೈತರ ಪರಿಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬದುಕನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ನಾವು ಕೃತಜ್ಞೃಾಗಿರಬೇಕು ನಾವು ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದರೆ ನಾವು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಿವಿ ಎಂದರ್ಥ ನಾವು ದಾಸ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಲು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಐಕ್ಯತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮನ್ವಯತೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಲೇ ಭಾಷೆ ಬೇರೆ ವೇಷ ಬೇರೆಯಾದರೂ ಭಾರತೀಯರು ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದು ಗ್ರಾಮೀಣ ಭಾರತದ ಸರ್ವ ರೀತಿಯ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ಬಾರತದ ವಿಕಸಿತಭಾರತಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಐಕ್ಯುಎಸಿ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಾದ ಪ್ರೊ ಕೆ ಎಸ್ ಸುಕೃತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮಪಾಲನಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ ಓ ಎಲ್ ಸುಮಾ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಜ್ಯೋತಿ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮಿ ಜಿ ಕಾವಾ ದೈಹಿಕ ಶಇಕ್ಷಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಸ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಾಲತಿ ವಿವಿಧ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರುಗಳು, ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಮತ್ತು ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕೇತರ ವೃಂದದವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರಿಂದ ದೇಶದ ಐಕ್ಯತೆ ಸಾಮರಸ್ಯ ಸಮಗ್ರತೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿಂತೆ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.
The NSS unit and Parent Teacher Association of MMK and SDM MMV jointly organized a one-day General Health Checkup camp in collaboration with CLEAR MEDI Multi-speciality Hospital, Mysore on August 10, 2024. This event was open to all Degree and PUC staff, as well as the parents of first-year students. The program was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Bharathi N. The collaboration with CLEAR MEDI Multi-speciality Hospital ensured comprehensive health assessments, benefiting the participants and promoting overall well-being within the college community. DUring the programme IQAC Coordinator Prof. Sukrutha K S, NSS Coordinator Smt. Anitha P Jayaram, along with NSS members Ms. Bhargavi HG and Ms. Prathima M, were also present.
On August 8, 2024, the Department of Business Administration, in collaboration with ICFAI Business School, organized a guest lecture titled “Campus to Corporate.” The guest speaker, Mr. Raghvendra Rao, discussed the vital connection between academic life and the corporate world, emphasizing the increasing importance of skills in today’s global landscape. He highlighted the strong correlation between individuals’ abilities and the skills they possess, noting that industries often struggle to find well-skilled individuals due to inadequate training and knowledge. Mr. Shivabeerappa, Head and Assistant Professor, Smt. Hajra Begum and Smt. Vidya M R, assistant professors of the Business Administration Department were present.

On August 8th, 2024, the Student Welfare Committee at MMK and SDM Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Mysore held a Class Representative Election to promote leadership qualities among students. The election was guided by Prof. Bharathi N., Principal, Smt. K.S Sukrutha, IQAC Coordinator, and Smt. Jyothilakshmi G Kava, Student Welfare Officer. The election was successful due to active student participation and faculty and staff dedication, promoting responsibility and democratic participation within the college community
On 7.8.2024 - Students of Final Year BCA attended ICT Thought Leaders Talk Series Webinar on the topic "Defining Decades - Career Opportunities in Emerging Technologies". The speakers for the session were Mrs. Akila C M , Assistant General Manager, ICT Academy , Prof. Manu, IITM, Department of Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering, Experiential Technology Innovation Center and Mr Anantaraman Prakash, Vice President, Research and Advanced Engineering Innovation, Renault Nissan Technology and Business Center India Private Limited .The speakers highlighted about the focus areas such as Dive into the future with Virtual Reality, expertise in research and advanced engineering and industry 5.0 insights. The session was helpful to 67 students.
On August 5, 2024, the 100-hour Certificate Course on Retail Team Leader, sponsored by Infosys Foundation as part of their CSR initiative, was inaugurated. The event was organized by ICT Academy in collaboration with MMK & SDM Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Mysore. The inauguration was graced by the presence of Prof. N. Bharathi, Principal; Mr. Prajwal R Vasista, Relationship Manager, ICT Academy, Chennai; Mr. Sony Punnose, Project Field Coordinator, ICT Academy, Chennai; Mr. Prashanth Jain, Head of the Commerce Department; and Mrs. Ramya S K, ICT Academy Coordinator, Mr. Chandrakanth, the Technical Trainer for the course, addressed the students of III BCOM A and B Sections. Additionally, Ms. Supradha Jain and Mrs. Harshitha Mallik, Assistant Professors of Commerce, were also present at the event.

Participants gain in-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including current trends and best practices, enhancing their career prospects and making them more competitive for leadership roles.
The Department of Commerce, MMK and SDM MMV, hosted a guest lecture program for I B.Com. and I BBA students on August 3, 2024, with the theme being "Opportunities for Career Advancement in Professional Courses." The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Fayaz Ahmed, a chartered accountant with ProEdge. Mr. Fayaz Ahmed gave the insights about the professional courses and motivated the students to take up the professional courses and insisted they achieve the goals. The students were immensely benefited by the session. It helped the students in knowing the benefits of pursuing advanced courses. In attendance were Mr. Prashanth Jain, Head of the Department, Ms. Prathima M., an assistant professor of commerce, and Smt. Vidya, an assistant professor of management.
