Independant Project

The assignment was to remake a project we did during the year but make it more difficult. For mine, I redid my gridded self portrait. In my gridded self portrait, I had a bunch of my characters in the background. This time, I made the gridded self portrait even bigger and added a ton more characters. The subject was me and my characters. The work was made with different pencils, mainly 6B led. I was going to color it but I did not have time.

I choose to create this artwork because I could do something I know how to do, which it draw my characters. I use line, shape, value, form, texture and space for this drawing. I didn't have any trouble with this but getting it done on time.

The meaning of this project was to show me and what I love and what makes me happy. This relates to my life because it's me and my "children" :D. I'm proud that I got this done on time, took a while. Thank god Mr. A gave us more time. I struggled getting this done, but I did it. I love how it turned out and the only thing I'd like to change/improve on is my face. It doesn't look like me and the proportion is all wrong. Though, still happy with how it came out.
