Title: Helping Hand
WidthxHeight: 9"x12"
For this project, we had to create something for the Inclusion awards. I decided to make something using people, because I don't normally draw people. That being said, this piece goes out to those who help others and don't walk away. I used fine-point pen and sharpie to create this piece.
The subject of my work is people. The main focus is the person who fell out of the wheelchair and the other person helping them up. I love using fine-point pen because you can get tiny details. I think this piece came out okay but seemed a little simple. I think it came out decent considering I am not a fan of drawing people.
I used color, form, texture and space in this piece. I really like the color palette. I am a big fan of greens and yellows. I'm ok about this piece and it did come out decent when you compare it to the time I had to work on it. Though, it seemed a little simple, so I decided to create more than one.
Title: Everybody Likes A Big Carrot
WidthxHeight: 9"x12"
For this project, we had to create something for the Inclusion awards. I decided to make something using carrots, because it's different and not my usual go-to. That being said, this piece goes out people who feel bad for being different. I used fine-point pen and colored pencil to create this piece.
The subject of my work is carrots. The main focus is the large carrot who's getting pulled out of the ground. The other carrots seem to be a little angry because they didn't get picked/are jealous of the big carrot. I love using fine-point pen because you can get tiny details. I think this piece came out okay. I think it came out decent considering I haven't drawn something like this before.
I used color, form, texture and space in this piece. I really like the shading on the carrots. I'm ok about this piece and it did come out decent when you compare it to the time I had to work on it. It was simple but I felt it made up for the last one.
