Blind Contor

The subject of my work is a baby deer surrounded by two giant birds. The work was made with fine-point pen and watercolor. I chose to create this because I thought that the deer looked scared, and the birds looked superior. When I saw the animals, I just knew that I had to create this. I used form, space and texture in this piece.

For this project, we had to take toys and create a scene out of them without looking at the paper.

I had an original idea and I stuck with it. I didn't change anything, but the background. I wanted to go for a dessert-y background (with one single dead tree), but that didn't turn out well. So I changed it to a sunset.

The meaning, to me, behind this piece is that sometimes the smaller animals are the bigger and more threatening ones. Though people think about art in many different ways. Anyone can take this anyway they want to.
