Contour Line Still Life

The assignment was to make a contour still life with lines of the objects. The subject of my creation was the shoe, Paintbrushes and a small pencil sharpener. The work was made with a pencil to draw it, I made thick and thin lines to show shadow without shading.

I chose to make it this way because it was different than what I normally do. I used line, texture and space in this artwork. My project evolved because my proportion was wrong, so I made the shoe longer.

The meaning behind my artwork is that the shoe is supposed to represent me, the paint brushes are supposed to represent what I love; art! This project relates to my life because I love to draw so I put paint brushes in there to show it. Also, the shoe was mine. I'm proudest of the shadow I did without shading the work, I may use it again sometime. There was nothing to change, I think overall it was great.
