DuckStamp

Title: Duck.

For this project, we had to create something for the DuckStamp Project. I decided to make a black-bellied whistling duck, because I haven't done a duck like that before. That being said, the duck is well known for having a black belly (hence the name), hair on it's head and a pink beak. I used colored pencil to create this piece.

The subject of my work is a duck. The main focus is the duck in a tree, because I read that these types of ducks love to hang out in trees. I loved using the colored pencils because it's easy to shade. I think this piece came out okay. I think it came out decent considering I don't do well with backgrounds.

I used color, form, texture and space in this piece. I really like the shading on the tree and the realism of the duck. I'm ok about this piece and it did come out decent when you compare it to the time I had to work on it. It is a lot more detailed and realistic than my normal style.
