Gridded Value Self Portrat

The assignment was to draw a self portrait with any background we wanted. The subject is me! The setting is me and my characters. I used pencil to draw this. I wanted to draw this picture because I wanted a challenge. The design was hard to do but I like how it came out. My project got better as I shaded darker. The story is pretty much just my characters. I love drawing them so I wanted to show what I love. This relates to my life... because it's me and what I love! I struggled with the shading, but I did it! I wish I shaded it more though... The shading wasn't that good. I wish I added color but I didn't have time.
