Title: Too Quiet

Size: 12"x6"

For this project, we had to follow our question. Mine was changed to "How can we balance the environment with a story?" The story itself has to do with a deer perking it's tail up in the middle of a meadow. The sky is seen with shades of pinks and reds to symbolize something bad is going to happen. The deer has its tail perked up because when a deer senses danger, it's tail goes up. Hunters know that when a deers tail goes up, it knows you're there.

The subject of my work is a deer. The piece was made with 3D Fabric Paint and painted on with a popsicle stick. I was going for a palette knife style painting but I didn't have my palette knife with me, so I used a popsicle stick. I worked on this throughout my work study periods.

I used color, form, texture and space in this piece. I am kind of happy with how the style came out. I wish I could have added more detail and stuff to the background but I don't and will not have any time to work on it. My favorite part is the abstractness of the painting itself. Obviously, everything isn't perfectly straight considering I didn't have any measuring things to use while making it, but that's fine.
