The subject of my work is people built out of Legos. The drawing was made with fine point pen, sharpie and oil-based markers. I chose to create this because I wanted to do the same thing last year but felt I didn't have enough time or enough confidence to attempt it. After learning more things about art this year, I felt more confident to draw it. The hardest part about this was the background. I did the colors in a specific order, only using the colors Red, yellow, green and blue. I mixed some colors to make them pop out. I don't like how it is difficult to see the words in the front. I was going for a cartoony drawing. I used color, form, and space in this piece.

I was originally going to color in the people, but I like how the white contrasts with the Lego colors.

There was a meaning behind this piece is the fact that we are built on the same structure. No matter what type of person we are, no matter what disability you might have. At the end of the day, we are built on the same structures. We are no different than one another. However... People think about art in many different ways. Anyone can take this anyway they want to.
