For this assignment, we had to bring in three objects and make a still life drawing of them. For my objects, I brought in my polaroid camera, a lipstick, and a nail polish bottle. To make the drawing, I used pencil to make a variety of different lines, and the elements of line, shape and space. I chose these objects because I felt as though they represented my personality, and they also had very specific lines. The meaning behind this piece is that the objects represent my personality. To go back and revise, I thickened the more distinct lines (like the outlines) and thinned out the ones that were more of shadows on the objects. I am proudest of how proportionate my camera turned out, I think that it is very realistic. Though, I struggled a little with the nail polish bottle because it was hard to draw the 3-D cube, but it was also tilted on the camera so it was at a weird angle. If I could go back and revise anything, I would try to perfect the nail polish bottle to make it more realistic and 3-D looking.
