Artist Inspired

For this assignment, we had to create a work of art that was inspired by a specific artist or art movement. For my piece, I decided to experiment with cubism. I based this piece off of my ukulele, and I used acrylic paints and pencil to make it. In cubism, you draw parts of the subject matter multiple times from multiple angles. I also added some random connecting lines to make more cube shapes. I then painted the piece with brown acrylic paint, along with some more bright colors. This piece is important to me because my ukulele is one of my favorite things, and I was happy that I could create a piece that was based off that. Also, cubism is a movement that really interests me and I was glad to be able to experiment with it.
