Contour Drawing Exercises

For this assignment, we had to create blind contour drawings. We looked at our hand or face, not looking at the paper, and we had to recreate the lines on our hand or face. This was supposed to teach us how we need to learn to draw what we see, not what we think we should see. For this assignment, I used sharpie and pencil. As for the elements of art, I used line to create shape. I didn't go back and revise because the whole point of the assignment was to not look at the paper. This relates to my life because it was my hand and my face that I had to try to re-create. I am proud that I paid attention to detail and tried to draw as much of it as possible. I struggled a lot when it came to the drawings where we had to use our non-dominant hand because I wasn't used to it and we didn't get to look at the paper. If I could go back and change something, I would try to go slower while making my lines so they weren't as messy. I would also try to draw bigger.
