Below are the quickest steps to creating an iPhoto slide show that is then EXPORTED to QuickTime movie format so you can play it in iTunes, web browsers, QuickTime and more..
Note: In iPhoto HELP menu, there are also instructions on creating a SlideShow, they just skip creating an "Album First". It is better to create and Album first to better organize your pictures
STEP ONE - Find some pictures. Come up with some theme for your slideshow, choose something with big shots like polar bears, nature, space... use about 6 or 8 pictures only or the file will get too big.
Use Google Images to search for your pictures in some theme. BE SURE YOUR PICTURES ARE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE.
Make sure to get "large" images that are 600x800 or BIGGER or else they will be blurry in a full screen slide show. In Google Images, you can set the size.
Be sure to click on the picture you find ONCE, then look for VIEW IMAGE to be sure and download the largest possible picture, not the "THUMBNAIL"
STEP TWO - Download pix
If you CNTRL-CLICK or RIGHT-CLICK on the picture you want in Google Images, you can download Directly to the iPhoto Library.
STEP THREE -Create Album in iPhoto
Give the album a name:
Now Drag the pictures you want for the slide show into the Album... using your finger.
STEP FOUR -Create Slide Show
Play with the setting for Theme's, Transitions, Music etc...
STEP FIVE -Export to Movie (use large size)
