For this projects you will follow two short videos below and learn to use a horizon line and vanishing points to sketch a building scene .
Be sure to follow the tutorial closely and recreate the street scene with the two buildings on your graph paper.
Be sure to read these instructions COMPLETELY before beginning. This is not "digital" sketching, so mistakes are costly.
You will not be given second chances for not reading the simple instructions and since this is done "old school" on paper - you know that that means!!
1. You must use pencil
2. You must use a ruler
3. Use the gridlines to help you whenever appropriate
4. Measure items and/or count grid boxes to keep items aligned.
5. Draw lightly at first as many lines are later erased
6. Follow the video closely, rewind etc... be prepared to make mistakes, and start over - that is an expected part of the learning process to create quality.
7. Orient the page LANDSCAPE so you are using the ENTIRE page for your drawing....
8. Put YOUR FULL NAME on the paper large so I can read it in the photo!
Your Project Requirements (see below)
Your sketch should look just like the one in the video,
with the following additions:
1. Both buildings need matching windows and doors on two sides
2. Add two trees behind the left fence
(be sure to use lines of perspective first for the correct height)
3. Add a sun over the right building - off in the distance....
4. Add half of a cloud peeking in from the left side of the page/sky

Take a picture of you with your sketch. Make sure I can see you in the picture.
*you don't need to include goofy friends in the picture
