The first thing you are going to need to get started is your Inventor Notebook. Below is a link to a Digital Inventor Notebook
Please MAKE A COPY of File in your Google Drive.
Make A FOLDER for this project NOW (you will have lots of files to keep organized for this project)
Have a read through the article below to see what type of things you keep in an Engineering notebook.
WHAT GOES IN AN INVENTOR NOTEBOOK
YOU WILL NEED AT LEAST TWO DIFFERENT IDEAS sketched out in your Digital Inventor Notebook
Notebook, then one idea will be your BEST and you will proceed with the project based
on that idea.
You must use the "Insert Drawing" feature and use the Digital Tools/Google Draw to sketch your idea - like demonstrated in class. No just inserting images.
Here Are Some Links For Inspiration (Not plagiarism)
Have a look at some of these site with interesting new Inventions & Innovations. See if you can spot the difference.
Looking at some of these ideas will get you mindset of looking at things in a different way, maybe solving some
simple everyday challenges with your new ideas!!!!

*Be sure if you work with a partner the EACH PERSON turns in the Digital Engineering Notebook to Google Classroom
..............................END TO PART ONE OF PROJECT....................................
You will be turning in THREE files for this part of the project. There are lots of links below to help your create the following items:
Your Business Card
You Company Logo
You Memorable Slogan
You can use any free online business card maker for your fictitious company.
Make sure you can either download or take a good screenshot so you have a JPEG image file you can turn in.
Here is one link: https://www.freelogoservices.com/business-card-maker
Your business Card Needs to have your Logo, Company Name & Slogan
Use fake information for emails, website, phone # etc...
If are struggling to come up with a Slogan - here are some links that might provided some inspiration to get you started, then you can modify the slogans as needed!!
Part Three of the project will consist of two deliverables to turn in:
Your StoryBoard
Your infomercial Video
BEFORE you start any filming you need to create and submit your StoryBoard. The StoryBoard will NOT BE ACCEPTED after the video is created.
The StoryBoard is your chance to PLAN out your Informercial and communicate your ideas. A well created StoryBoard will make the video portion a lot easier and increase the quality of the final project
See sample StoryBoard below. Your commercial should be at least 1 minutes, no longer than 3 minutes
Your StoryBoard should have FOUR scenes
For each scene in your storyboard, have an image representing your ideas and then briefly describe what the audience is seeing, hearing etc..
Here a typical Scene flow of an Informercial:
Scene 1: Product Introduction
Scent 2: Dealing the features of this great product
Scene 3: The product in actions, or a testimonial of how great this product is.
Scene 4: Call to Action - where to buy, limited time only, act now......
You can use clipart, images etc... to help convey your ideas on what your audience will be seeing and hearing during each scene.
Use a single Google Slide for your storyboard (no title slides)
Now with your StoryBoard complete, it is time to get creative.
You will be using WeVideo to edit and create your commercial, here are some tips & tricks:
You can use your phone to film, or even your Chromebook
Be sure to check the existing "content" provided in WeVideo for ideas (they have lots of stuff)
Mix in images, photos with video
Look on YouTube for clips of things you can add.
Use a voice over/narration to that informercial feel.
You can use Google Slide and download them as JPEG images to use in WeVideo
Think about what props will help you in presenting your product to the audience. If you don't have a physical prototype, then you will need to use sketches and imagery to represent your product between your video shots.
Use Text in WeVideo, both on solid background and floating over video
Have cool music and sound effects (just not too loud or distracting)
Try and Blue Scree/Green Screen if you have a blue Home Depot tarp at home (I think WeVideo can use any color for "green screen effect)
Spend some time in the WeVideo tutorial Help Library to get ideas
1. Four different Scenes (approx. 15 seconds, for a 1-minute commercial)
2. Complimentary background music (not distracting)
3. Call to Action (someway for people to buy your product at the end).
4. Use a green or blue screen if you can (a plastic blue tarp works pretty well)
5. Edit using WeVideo
6. FINISH final Video, Download Video file and turn in to Google Classroom (no links to WeVideo, need a video file)

Every good company needs a cool website - so you will need one too! Your website will help promote and sell your product and provide visibility to the world so it needs to look slick.
You can use Google Sites to create a decent website that will also look good on a mobile device, or you can check out the link I provided of a bunch of free online website designers.
The look/design of your site is up to you, but your website needs to have the following FIVE PAGES.
1.Product Introduction/What it Does/How it works/Why it is great/ page (include your infomercial)
2.Product Pictures/Designs/Sketches (the more the merrier)
3.About The Company & You The Inventor (like a bio)
4. Customer Testimonials (need two, pictures are good, consider famous people)
5. How To Buy: An online store page or "how to order instructions" (fake links and phone #, QR code etc...)
Free Website Builders: You are free to experiment with some online website builders. Some may be asked you to register your email, which is ok, but don't pay for anything, there are plenty of free services available. You can also just use Google Sites.
https://smallbiztrends.com/2016/05/free-website-builders.html
https://edu.google.com/teacher-center/products/sites/?modal_active=none
Every "site" builder will have a step where you share your site, or make it "public" to that people with the link can get to your site.
After you create your shared link - BE SURE TO TEST IT, by logging out of whatever site editor/creator you decided to use and then CLICK THE LINK.
Once you have tested the access to your site and are sure it works, then copy and paste the link in Google Classroom!!

The Commercial:
1. Story Board: BEFORE you start any filming you will need to show me your Story Board. (see example).
I NEED TO SEE YOUR STORYBOARD BEFORE YOU TURN IT IN TO GOOGLE CLASSROOM!!!!
The point of this is to help you think things through and have a plan before you start wasting time filming stuff you won't need. Your commercial will need to have 4 different scenes (see story board example).
For each scene in your storyboard, have an image representing your ideas and then briefly describe what the audience is seeing, hearing etc..
2. Filming The Commercial: You will film your commercial your Chrome Books. You will need to use Green Screen. Be sure to get HD quality images from Google for your backgrounds.
Think about what props will help you in presenting your product to the audience. If you don't have a physical prototype, then you will need to use sketches and imagery to represent your product between your video shots; this will be done in WeVideo.
Commercial Requirements
