The Bolt is a little more complicated, but if you spend some time looking at the actual bolt you can start to visualize what "shapes" and sketches are required to design this as a single piece object. It is all stuff you have done already at this point.
NOTE: Be sure you are using ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS for the toy parts - that is why we spent time sketching, measuring and recording this information in your Engineering Notebook - so use it.
You will need THREE sketches:
1. Main bolt head - circle sketch - then "extrude"
2. Small Circle Sketch for bolt shaft - then "extrude"
3. Rectangle sketch on top of bolt head to create the "cut" for screwdriver - then use "extrude/cut" feature
Images/Tips
Here is the first sketch for the main bolt head, that was extruded.
A second circle sketch is then placed on top for the bolt shaft (be sure to center and use the correct diameter)
Here the Center Sketch is extruded the correct distance to create the bolt shaft - then add the "threads"
Here a third RECTANGLE sketch is placed on the top of the Bolt head to create the
"dado cut"
Be sure to clear the edges of the bolt head with your rectangle sketch so you get a clean "cut" on the extrude
Voila! - Now just add the color and you are done!!
