Once you have signed into Google Applied Digital Skills and found our Class, you will see a lesson call Create A Vision Board.

You will follow the steps outlined, watch the short instructional videos and create a "Vision Board" for your self.

**you don't need to "share" this with me, at the end you will Download the file as a PDF and Turn into Google Classroom*

Complete each step below, you can skip #7 The Reflection..... see below for STEP 8 "Extensions"

YOU WILL BE TURNING IN A PDF FILE WITH A LINKED Google Slide FILE. YOU WILL ALSO SEND THE PDF TO YOUR COUNSELOR

Project Requirements

You will watch videos in our Digital Classroom that explain "how" to do each step.

You will be using Google Draw to create the main digital Vision Board.

You will have TWO high school goals/objectives other than "get good grades"

You will have ONE post high school goal objective (Junior College, College, Trade School, Job)

You will have a Google Slide with "Actionable Steps" required to achieve the post high school goal (this will require research)

Your Vision Board HyperLink you post high school goal to the Google Slides with the actionable steps.

Your Vision Board will have at least one related Animated Gif

Your Vision Board and Linked Google Slide will be "Visually Appealing"

You will be converting the Google Draw document to a in PDF file to turn into Google Classroom (do not turn in the Google Draw Document)

You will email your counselor the PDF file "Vision Board" and cc me on the email.

Be sure to introduce yourself in the email and explain what the attachment is about!

Extensions

These are extensions to the project (not Chrome extensions )

You will be adding TWO Extension to your Vision Board -

1 - Add related Animated Gif to your vision board to make it more engaging

2 - "Adding Link To Your Board & Saving As A PDF"

Creating The Linked Document

1. Create a single slide Google Slides Doc in your Google Drive

2. Provide some actionable information on this slide related to one of your goals.

For example if one of the images on your vision board for High School is to make a Soccer team, the add three actionable things you can do to improve your game: For example

2. 1. Join a competitive soccer team this Fall

   2. Work on juggling each day for 15 minutes

   3. Watch at least one professional game per week

   4. Look on youtube for skill videos and perform them in your backyard or park

Make the Slide Visually Appealing With Colors, Images etc....

3. Set the "sharing permissions" on the doc to "anyone with the link can view"

4. Follow the directions in the extension video to hyperlink to the file

5. Add "CLICK HERE" on your vision board to make it obvious to someone there is a HyperLink on a picture or text.

Turning In Your Work

1. You will download your vision board as a PDF FILE and turn into Google Classroom

(DO NOT USE THE SHARING OPTIONS IN GOOGLE AND ADD MY NAME!!!!)

Sending Your Vision Board To Your Counselor

You will now EMAIL the completed Vision Board to your Counselor as an attachment, and cc me on the email

1. Create an email to your counselor and add/attach the vision board PDF file

2. Write a coherent sentence (no spelling errors or typos) briefly explaining what the Vision Board is all about. Remember this ties into Mr. Murphy's talk about putting some effort into getting to know people who you might need help from later in life :)

3. Wish them a Happy School Year!!

4. Be sure CC "carbon copy me on the email"
