In this project you will use both FlipBoom Doodle and iMovie to create a cool Animated Movie Trailer.
You don't have to do a Holiday Themed trailer, but if you do - there may be a chance it will be shown on HPTV - so make sure to get your name in the credits!!!!
The project will require lots of creativity on your part, and you will learn some technical skills along the way.
THE PROCESS
1. Have a look at all the iMovie "trailers" so you can see your options.
(do not pick one yet)
2. Now go to the Flip Boom Doodle "Library" and see all the sorts of characters, shapes and scenes that already exist - keep in mind you can also modify all the library content as well as draw your own!
3. Now decide what iMovie Trailer you would like to use and choose "create project"
4. Read through the Outline, Story Board and Shot List in iMovie to what what Animation clips you need to create and now much video you will need. All the trailers are different.
5. Keep in mind you can modify the text within the trailers to "fit" your story. Be creative, be humorous, be cool! Be careful not to delete the back gound music or titles unless you are sure you don't want them - they cannot be recreated easily.
WARNING: This is meant to be a fun and creative project - but if you are inappropriate or immature you will not be allowed to use iMovie or the Animation program.

to iMovie..... (watch this)
Some Tips and Tricks
In class we talked about using the "Convert to Project" feature which will make your Trailer look like a standard "project" in iMovie and allow you to more simply modify your video lengths, remove video etc...
WARNING: Be careful not to DELETE components provided in the Trailer Template that you intend to use (ie titles, music, transitions etc..) as they are very hard to recreate.
Sound Effects and Holiday Music
once you have converted your trailer to a "project" you can easily add additional sound effects, Holiday theme music for the background etc..
Go to this Sound Effect page on MurphSite and learn how to find and download sounds - then you just drag them into your iMovie project.
