Context: Students are learning about Halakha, Sukkot, and practiving their fine-motor skills.
Learning: Wtudents engaged in a project where they built sukkahs using hardware and recyclable materials. The learning goals focused on developing skills needed to build a sukkah on a smaller scale while incorporating Halakha and measurement. Success criteria included identifying safety rules for using tools like drills and hammers, measuring using non-standard units to build walls, using pliers to twist wire for the schach base, and forming plasticine and other multimedia materials to create furniture for the sukkah. This hands-on project fostered practical skills, creativity, and an understanding of Chag Sukkot.
