Learning: In Grade 7 Humanities, students embarked on a dynamic Debating/Persuasive Speaking Unit. The learning goals for this unit included understanding how to deliver compelling opening statements, how to counter-argue and think critically, and how to use persuasive speaking techniques such as eye contact, voice modulation, and body language.
