Kabalat Shabbat with KCC

Grade/Class: Grade 6G

Context: Students learn about Parshat Hashavua by planning, executing and participating in a Kabalat Shabbat Program with KCC.

Learning: The Grade 6G students had the wonderful opportunity this year to participate in a joint Kabalat Shabbat Program with KCC. The students developed a format of a program that included singing, taking their knowledge of Parsha to create divrei Torah and a game or art that reflected an idea in the parsha. This gave the students opportunities to reinforce the big ideas they were learning in Parsha as well as develop leadership skills and participate in an integrated experience. A good time was had by all!
