Har Sinai

Context: Students learn about Har Sinai in connection to Shavuot.

Learning: As the Nursery children started to explore Chag Shavuot, we spoke about how Har Sinai prepared for Matan Torah. The children were so excited that we brought Har Sinai to our classroom. We made it out of particular soil and sprinkled many grass seeds on the top. We looked at what we needed to do so Har Sinai would start growing and turn green. We learned that he needs a lot of light and water for the seeds to grow. We put Har Sinai next to the window and water it daily. We oversaw it until he was ready, just in time for Matan Torah.
