ALISYAH FARZANAH

When I was in lower primary, I did not know how to do Math. Now in P6, I can do it better. I had never scored 20 over marks till P6 in Math practice papers. I felt so happy when I got those marks this year. I tried my best for the PSLE even though it was hard. I am glad that I finally can be better at Math.

I find learning Math rather difficult for me because I found it tough to stay focused in math lessons. I know math is my weakest subject but I do not give up. I hope I can get better results when I work hard.

FARAH QURAISYA

My Math class was very exciting, funny and mostly .... LOUD! Even though at times, we are very active, we could still focus on our studies. My Math class never give up on our learning. Even though some topics were difficult for us, we still managed to solve those questions as a class.

GOH KHO HERN

I had always thought that Math was “rocket science”. I remembered claiming that my finger was 10cm long.

However, now I think Math is easy to do.

I was in LSM in Primary 1 and 2. I struggled with Math, especially in problem sums. But it got better when I joined Foundation Math in Primary 6. My marks increased. I am grateful to all my Math teachers, Mdm Norhana, Mdm Rages and Ms Ang. They helped me improve and like Math.

~ Naqya [6GA]

KAYDEN YEO MING ZE

I feel very happy as I am able to do more difficult problems ever since my teacher in P6 asked me to go to the Study Room to revise my work. Before, I was too lazy to do my homework. I would like to thank the teacher in the Study Room, Mr Ho, for helping me improve my Math.

~ Kayden Yeo [6 GA]

KHOLLIF AKRILL

I felt Math was easy for me in Primary 1. However, I started to struggle in Math when I was in Primary 3 and 4. By Primary 5, I gave up on Math and I dropped to Foundation Math in Primary 6. I did not care about Math in Term 1 to 3 and I kept getting AL8. I only started revising for the Prelims and I improved. I found the PSLE much easier than I thought. I realized that it wasn’t luck but my hard work. It was not that the paper was easier to do but I had a growth mindset.

~ Khollif [6 GA]

KRISHIVRAAM PRAPAHARAN

When I was in Primary 1 to Primary 5, I was not good at Math. But when I was in Primary 6, my Math became better. During my free time at home, I did my own revision and a lot of practices. I gained a lot of experience doing Math through the practices.

~ Krishivraam [6 GA]

LEE JUN RONG, ALVIS

I had to repeat P6 this year as I did not do well in the PSLE last year. Foundation Math is much easier for me and I believe I can graduate this year. I have learnt that there are different methods to do the Math questions. I will continue to remind myself to be open to different ways to approach the problems.

~ Alvis Lee [6GA]

LIM JUN RENG

I used to like Math in P1 to P4, when it was easy. However, I started "hating" it in P5 and P6 as it was much more difficult. I had to repeat P6 this year. As I paid more attention in class, I found that Math could be quite interesting. After 7 years of learning the subject, I realised that Math is very important in many aspects of our lives.

~ Max Lim [6GA]

LIN KEXIN

I have learned many new things during this year. This year, I also see my results improve a lot and I am happy with the better results. I have learned to overcome many challenges and will continue to work hard and not give up.

MUHAIMIN AZZAHIR

Due to my poor performance in Standard Math, I was transferred to Foundation Math in 2022. Even then, I did not spend any time on the subject and my grades showed that. Things changed only after the Mid-year exam when I gotten an AL 7 for Math. Even though this was a small accomplishment, I felt so proud of myself that I began to revise and not to give up when facing challenges.

~ Muhaimin [6 GA]

MUHAMMAD AFIQ DANIAL

I used to be very good at Math in Primary 1 to 4. My parents were very proud of me as I had been passing only my Math. However, my results took a great dip when I started Primary 5. I was very disappointed. I was about to give up when I changed to foundation math. Everything changed and I started getting better grades. I was sad that I missed my Mid-year paper as I was late, so I tried hard to revise for my Prelims and was ready to do the PSLE confidently.

~ Afiq [6 GA]

MUHAMMAD ERWANSYAH

It was tough at first trying to understand Math concepts and working. However, as time passed by, I find it easier to solve math questions. I will continue to work hard and not give up on math next time.

MUHAMMAD HAIRIL IRFAN

I was very weak in Math before P 6. I wasn’t seriously learning and was always playing instead. However, I put in more effort at the beginning of P 6, became more focused and stayed back to do my revision in the Study Room. I could answer many Math questions and I was proud of myself when I passed my Math Mid-year exam. Hard work and focus are important.

~ Hairil [6 GA]

MUHAMMAD HARITH

I found Math learning not easy at first. Then as time passed by, when I was able to stay focused, I found Math isn't as difficult as expected. I will continue to work hard on math so that I can continue to improve in my math results.

MUHAMMAD IMAN

I joined the school in 2020 and being a shy person, I did not have many friends to talk to and play with. So I kept to myself. My teacher's advices on studying changed my way of thinking and the way I approach learning. I have learnt quite a lot this year from my Math lessons.

~ Iman [6GA]

MUHAMMAD MUBARAK

When I was in Primary 1, I was good at Math. I started doing badly from Primary 2 to 5, even failing the exams. My parents and teacher suggested that I take up Foundation Math. At first, I was unwilling as I thought I would be looked down upon. As I focused during lessons, I found that Math was interesting and I was more willing to learn. Instead of looking down on me, my parents, my friends and my teacher gave me a lot of support. I am happy and confident about my PSLE.

~ Mubarak [6 GA]

MUHAMMAD ZAFRAN

I remember I did a lot of Math since Primary 1. I used to hate Math and I did not try my best before Prelims. However, I think I did a good job preparing for the Prelims and PSLE. Now, I still find that Math is difficult but I will study for it.

When I learn Geometry, I feel like I’m finally good at it. It was tough at first, but I have my friends to encourage and support me along the way. When the going gets tough, we felt like giving up, but our teacher will always be there by our side. We must continue to work hard and not give up.

There were challenges in my life but I overcome them with the support and encouragement of my friends and teachers. Even if my friends and teachers were not there for me, I must continue to strive my best and not give up in finding the solution to the problems.

NURWIRNA

My learning experience was great! Ms Yeo would make the lesson fun and entertaining. She has lots of easy ways to explain difficult math ideas. Although I found learning math difficult, I tried to understand what she was trying to explain to us. I appreciate Ms Yeo's teaching.

ONG TAT RU AVERYL

I always hated Math because I could not do any questions. I did not understand many things.

Now, as I get to know how to do the questions, I find Math a little easier. PSLE was a bit hard for me but I tried my best.

~ Averyl Ong [6 GA]

SHAHER

When I was doing Standard Math, I felt that I was smart. Then I started to be absent from school frequently and did not “care” for Math at all. So. I finally dropped to Foundation Math. My teacher told me that I could take control of my future. I began to put in more effort and I could do the PSLE much easily.

~ Shaher [6 GA]

XIE RUI'EN CHLOE

I always thought that Math was very hard and I’ve never really understood anything about Math and had not done well in Math. It changed at the start of this year. With the help of my teacher’s videos in Google Classroom, which I rewatched for my revisions, my marks improved from less than 20 to over 40 in my Math exams. This was a great change. I finally understand what Math is and I can do questions that I’d previously missed out. Math is easy when you understand it.

~ Chloe Xie [6 GA]

TEO ZHI NING JERLYN

Math was difficult for me when I entered primary school. I was confused with the math questions. However, my teachers helped me along the way. P6 was “super hard” for me and I needed a lot of help. Though Math was difficult, I found it interesting whenever I learned new topics. I feel confident in doing my PSLE Math well.

~ Jerlyn Teo

SRI ANGGUN

I first learned about Algebra. Algebra is a topic when alphabets are introduced to replace numbers in math. Many of my classmates found it confusing in the topic, including me. But many of us are getting better at learning math when Ms Yeo, let us play math games. I learn that in life, there are many challenges and I must not give up. I hope to continue to do well next year.

Anggun (On the right)

SRI KIRTICK

When I joined the school in Primary 5, I hated Math as I could not handle Standard Math. It was when the teachers helped transfer me to Foundation Math that I felt comfortable and started to get used to the Math pace.

~ Kirtick [6 GA]

I found Math simple in P 1 but things went downhill from P2. By the time I was in P 3, I never did my Math homework. I lost all confidence in Math in P4 and I did not believe in myself. I made a “horrible” choice of giving up. However, when I was in P5, I was given a GRIT bear! I told myself that I had not reached my limit. A question in P6 on Fractions, which I was unable to understand till then changed my feelings about Math. Being able to do that question motivated me to keep going. Math is much easier and I can understand it better.

~ Trinicia Yoo [6 GA]

NABIL UZAIR

I remember that I wasn’t able to count well or do Math problems sums in Primary 2. Fortunately, my Math teacher, Ms Cindy, helped me with extra lessons. My Math improved though I have not passed any Math exams. Now, in Primary 6, I managed to catch up. The different methods and shortcuts taught by my teacher helped me improve more and I could understand the questions easily. Thank you, teachers!
