We made the solar oven by taking a shoe box and covering the outer surface with black paper because black absorbs the most amount of heat. There is aluminium foil on the top so that light can be reflected to the egg. Metal is a good conductor of heat, so we used a metal bowl to contain the egg.
We enjoyed the part when we were making the solar oven.
We can improve the oven by putting a mirror at the top and colour the perimeter of the top black.
We felt happy as it was fun and we felt confident that our solar oven will work because we put in a lot of effort into this project.
We enjoyed building the oven but we need to learn how to make decision together as a team so we do not argue. Everyone did their part and brought the materials that we were supposed to bring. With the help of all group members, we were able to finish building the oven very quickly.
The part we enjoyed most was constructing the solar oven. We had fun using the many different materials we had to make a functioning solar oven. We had a disagreement on how to make it but in the end we came up with a design everyone liked.
We are looking forward to be able to cook the egg.
We liked the part when we test the product as it was not as stressful as the making of the product. We used materials like aluminium foil, pizza box, chopsticks and black paper, We enjoyed the project!
We enjoyed making the solar oven, working as a group and cooperating with each other. it was fun while it lasted. To carry out this experiment will require good weather and that can be unpredictable.
