Music Around Us - Music in Ballet

We learn music in ballet, particularly The Nutcracker Suite by composer Tchaikovsky. It is a classical ballet in two acts. We learn that the timbre of the orchestral instruments, together with the tempo and dynamics, play an important role in bringing out the feelings and mood of the scenes.

Based on the Russian Dance in The Nutcracker Suite, we used Song Maker from Chrome Music Lab to create more feelings to the music. You can copy and paste the website address to listen to our composed music.

Cultural Music - Chinese Music

Musicians express their feelings and ideas through their music pieces with the musical elements and concepts in mind. The instruments played in a particular culture are unique and evoke different feelings and emotions. We learn that through music, cultural heritage can be reserved.


To show that we can express ourselves in different emotions singing the same song, we changed the tempo and dynamics when we sang Mo Li Hua so that different feeling would be expressed.

Musical Production - Chanting with Loops

To chant with loops, we need creativity, and creativity is important in music making. It enhances our ears, reading and rhythm skills.

We used hip hop music to accompany our created chants, and we rhymed our chants so that they sounded smooth. The creation of chants with loops is to prepare us for rap creation.
