Join other educators in conversation and collaboration. All professional learning groups are free and meet regularly. Participation is conducted completely online through email and Zoom. Our programs aim to provide you with learning and growth opportunities that will support your professional journey.
Where in the world is Dr. Phelps? This year, I have partnered with Executive Director, Phyllis Pasley, to attend state-wide professional conferences, serve as an exhibitor, and present advocacy workshops. In March, I had the opportunity to connect with Art Educators at the Missouri Art Education Association in Kansas City. Additionally, I engaged in conversation regarding our numerous Professional Learning opportunities with school administrators at the Missouri Association for Elementary School Principals Association and Missouri Association for Secondary School Principals conferences at Osage Beach. Each of these conferences offered a variety of learning perspectives and opportunities for Missouri Alliance to meet the ongoing needs of professional development and support for arts educators throughout Missouri. In April, I will attend a teaching artist training workshop hosted by the Kansas City Metro Arts Education Network (KCMAAEN), as well as our Show-Me Arts Summit and Fine Arts Education Day in Jefferson City, April. 2-3.
Our Professional Learning Network communities have exciting workshops coming up in April! Register now for our MAIN workshop April 29 with Michael Smith from What If Puppets. You won't want to miss our collaborative IDEA and FAME workshop ALL THAT JAZZ, April 9. Join Missouri's Jazz Community as we share resources to celebrate this distinctive American music!
What is an Arts Centered approach to instruction?

Art integration's multi-modality approach promotes creativity, imagination, innovation, social-emotional learning, and critical thinking, leading to a better understanding of academic content.
