There are many ways you can highlight the arts in your local region. Each of our statewide arts education organizations has suggestions for you to celebrate your program and build a coalition of support
REMEMBER asking people to sign the Arts ARE Education Pledge is one simple way of building local support.
Join us for a night of fun and engaging learning for your students as we trains the next generation of arts advocates. Without strong advocates, there may not be the same kinds of opportunities for tomorrow's artists and audiences. Student advocates can also build local support for your program. At MAAE's SMarts you and your students will gain information, insights and have fun with engaging role-playing activities. As students prepare to meet with their legislators or other elected officials, they'll have fun while sharpening communication skills. Amplify powerful student voices and help gain legislative support for the arts and arts education. Teacher/sponsors can view an orientation video here (23;00).

Thanks to everyone who submitted their videos for display within Missouri's capitol as part of our virtual Fine Arts Education Day, 2021. Dozens of Missouri schools were able to submitted their videos - some for the first time. This annual event brings student voices and student performances to Missouri's capitol informing legislators of the value of arts education and that even in a year like no other, the arts are alive and well in Missouri schools.
The videos submitted by 3/1/21 will be available for viewing after March 20, 2021. You will be able to view the collected videos at https://maae.educate.today/. The videos will be searchable by school, district, legislative district, subject, and more.
