Consult the resources that are being published by your arts education organization, and other sources.
Meet with your administrator(s) and/or school board members and discuss the reopening plan.
Propose positive ideas for how you and your program can support students while working in accordance with policies that address health and safety concerns.
Volunteer to join teams or task forces that will guide your school’s plans.
In cooperation and collaboration with your administration, begin to develop flexible plans to be prepared for rapidly changing circumstances. You will likely want to include:
a combination of online and in-person learning
plans (and backup plans) for a variety of settings (indoor, outdoor, fixed classroom for students/traveling teachers)
plans that demonstrate you are prepared to support social-emotional needs of students
