To ensure student safety and accountability, all check-ins and check-outs must follow the procedures below. Phone calls and emails will not be accepted for student checkouts.

General Check-In (For students arriving late or returning to campus during the day)

• Students must sign in at the front office upon return.

• A check-in slip will be issued and must be presented to the teacher upon entering class.
  
  

General Check-Out

• Students must check out through the front office or clinic.

• A parent or legal guardian must be present to check out a student in person.

• A valid photo ID is required at the time of checkout.

• No checkouts are allowed after 2:30 PM.
  
  

Illness Check-Out

• Students who become sick during the school day will be checked out through the clinic.

• Clinic staff will contact a parent or guardian to facilitate the process.

• Non-drivers must follow the general check-out procedures outlined above.

• Student drivers may leave campus only after a parent or guardian has been contacted and given approval.

Student Driver Parent/Guardian Notes for Checkout

• Notes must be submitted to the front office between 7:30 AM and 7:45 AM.

• Students on the Empower campus should submit their parent/guardian note to the JCHS front office when they return to campus at the beginning of 3rd period. 

• Notes must include the following:

  • Date of checkout

  • Time of checkout

  • Reason for checkout

  • Parent/guardian signature

  • Parent/guardian phone number for verification

• All notes will be verified before approval.

• Late notes require administrator approval.
  
  

Student Driver Checkout Process

1. The student receives a checkout slip from the office.

2. The student has the slip signed by their teacher at the designated time.

3. The student returns to the office, signs out, and leaves campus immediately.
