Course overview - Study Period 2
During the first study period: Learners will study how medical ethics impact our society. They will find out about the role of the NHS, how ethics intervenes in conception, genetics and abortion; how ethics intervenes at the end of our lives, and the debate around euthanasia and assisted dying; and finally the importance society places on the role of the family - and how that role, and our definition of family, is changing in the modern world.

Learners will face an end-of-module assessment on their retention of key facts and subject terminology.
