Course overview - C10 GCSE

In theory lessons (3 per fortnight) during the first half term: learners will be completing and receiving feedback on their c10 exams. During the second half term the focus will be on the analysis of performance coursework. 


In practical lessons (1 per fortnight) learners will cover Athletics and fitness testing. Learners will be developing more advanced techniques focusing on strategies to improve performance and fitness.

Assessment Points:

One practical assessment.

C10 exam will be marked and graded. Analysis and performance coursework will receive midpoint feedback to aid improvement.

Guidance:

Learners will receive, mainly, verbal guidance throughout each practical session linked to the practical performance criteria.They will also receive a mark out of 35 for their practical sport per half term.

C10 exam will be marked and a GCSE grade given, learners will receive feedback on WWW/EBI. They will also be given feedback to aid improvement on their coursework.

Principles of training - Specificity, progressive overload, reversibility, tedium
