Course overview - C10 GCSE
In theory lessons (2 per fortnight) learning for both half terms will cover the applied anatomy and physiology topic from paper 1. This topic includes the musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems, short term effects of exercise and energy systems.
In practical lessons (2 per fortnight) learners will cover table tennis in the first half term and badminton in the second half term. Learners will be developing more advanced techniques and focus on strategies to win when playing games

One practical skills and gameplay assessment per half term.
Two theory end of unit assessments and 2 midpoint assessments.
Guidance:
Learners will receive, mainly, verbal guidance throughout each practical session linked to the practical performance criteria.They will also receive a mark out of 35 for their practical sport per half term.
For theory lessons a mid point assessment and end of unit assessment (per theory unit) will be marked, graded and WWW/EBI given for each assessment.
