Course overview
During this term we will be continuing the GCSE course by exploring the Distinctive Landscapes. The key questions are: What makes a landscape distinctive? and What influences the landscapes of the UK?
There are Two CASE STUDIES for this unit, one on a coastal landscape for which we study THE JURASSIC COAST and one on a river landscape for which we study THE RIVER SEVERN.

Assessment Points:
A summative assessment will take place at the end of the unit. Throughout the unit learners will also experience Progress Checks- short assessments to check progress, key pieces of work will be marked and feedback provided as well as spelling and definition assessments. The following pieces of work will be assessed with feedback provided:
River Severn Double Page Case Study and 6 mark question
Jurassic Coast Double Page Case Study double page and 6 mark question
13 mark Dynamic Development section of a past paper for the whole unit
Completed field work write up
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, Google Classroom & Seneca.
