Course overview - C10 GCSE
In theory lessons during the first half term: the body systems topic will be completed and the movement analysis topic covered. During the second half term the focus will be on exercise and training.
In practical lessons (2 per fortnight) learners will cover table tennis, handball and netball. Learners will be developing more advanced techniques and focus on strategies to win when playing games.
For the first half term there will be 2 theory and 2 practical sessions per cycle. In the second half term this will move to 3 theory and 1 practical per cycle to aid exam preparation

One practical skills and gameplay assessment per half term.
Two theory end of unit assessments and 2 midpoint assessments.
Guidance:
Learners will receive, mainly, verbal guidance throughout each practical session linked to the practical performance criteria.They will also receive a mark out of 35 for their practical sport per half term.
For theory lessons a mid point assessment and end of unit assessment (per theory unit) will be marked, graded and WWW/EBI given for each assessment.
